I'm sending out my shower invites tomorrow (I'm a full time grad student, so no, it's not a surprise, and I'm actually the one sending out the invites), and I need to know how to inform guests that there will be a wishing well at the shower.
Anyone know the right way to do this??? Please respond ASAP because I really really want to send the invites out tomorrow--Tuesday at the very latest!

Re: Wishing Well PLEASE HELP !!!
Honestly, since your invites are done and many of your guests are not familiar with customs here, I would just skip it all together.

As I said earlier--it's too late. My FMIL is getting a wishing well. If people don't know about it, no one will bring any items for it...the decision has already been made and the cards are completed. I will be adding them to the invitations tomorrow.

We will have a Wishing Well For our very special bride a small kitchen item (an extra household item) is what you should drop inside
i just made this up now lol
or please bring an extra household item to drop inside
Thanks so much hun! I really appreciate you helping me out in this last minute bind! Ahhhh I just want these damn invites sent out already!!!! I've had a really productive wedding-related day, so this just needs to get done to keep the flow going LOL.
I luv LoveyDovey's poem! But it kinda implies that is only about a wishing well (no main gift). How about u add:
In addition, we will have a wishing well...

The cards say the words 'wishing well' on them.
We have cards from Bloomingdalges and Amazon that are going to be in there specifying our registry preferences.
Thanks for your help girls, especially Lovey, you've been great & I really appreciate it!!

do the guests need to know there's gonna be a wishing well ahead of time? is it related to the bridal shower?
Yes, apparently they do. I just found this out earlier this afternoon, and I'm so bummed out because now I have to make these stupid little additional cards to throw into the invite that say 'Wishing Well'.
My question is, how do I make it clear that wishing well knick knack DOES NOT equal shower gift??
I dont think you can necessarily tell your guests that the wishing well gift is additional. IMO it may come off a little rude. I think if you just put a card stating there will be a Wishing Well the guests who understand and get it will get the extra gift, the guests who dont know what it is will either hopefully ask or just wont bring one. Not all of my guests put a gift in the wishing well.

just simply write wishing well at the bottom of the invite, near the RSVP date or where you wrote your registry info
