I know i haven't posted much, but this place has helped me / inspired me with so many unique ideas for a wedding that isn't going to happen...

I don't want to get into too many details, cuz you never know who's reading these posts, but it basically came down to 'irreconcilable differences'. As lame as it may sound we really just don't get along, and are wayyyy too different...

So now, I have to face cancelling the hall, the photographer, flowers, dj...everything.....

I don't even know where to start.....

I am so so sorry that you are going through this. It is so much better that you find out now rather then later, divorces can be so messy. You are very strong to be able to do this and I am sure that you will find the man of your dreams one day who will put a smile on your face. I hope that you get through this as painless as possible and I am sure your friends and family support you and are proud of you to be able to make a decision like this. If you ever need anything, you know we are all here for you.

Thank you everyone for your support, actually family isn't all that understanding....they think its a whim or something...when i've never done things on a whim!!!

I'm so sorry to hear this. I know it may not help, but you're doing the right thing. Take it from me-I knew my first husband and I shouldn't get married but all the plans were in place and I didn't want to let anyone down so we went through with it. So three years later, we realize we just aren't good together and separate. Divorce (that he changed his mind about and decided he didn't want) went through a year ago.

Please believe me-you are doing the right thing!! And there is something better out there for you. I ended up running into my boyfriend from fifteen years ago who I never stopped thinking about and we're getting married this year. Things really do happen for a reason.

So sorry to hear.... But like all the other girls have said it truly is so much better to make this decision, now than have to go thru an awful divorce later. Trust me my cousin and good friend were having serious doubts before their weddings, went thru with it and 2 years later are divorced. My friend ended up meeting her true love and is getting married on october! I wish you all the best!!
