How horrible. SO SAD! That little girl is so adorable!

This happened to Mikes Nephew Riley when he was an infant. He had just learned to pull himself up I dont even think he could walk yet. His dad cant work he got hurt on the job so he is home with the kids all day. Jim ( his dad) went into the kitchen to get a bottle wasnt even gone for half a second and he heard boom. Jim went running and saw that all the drawers and dresser where on top of Riley. We think he pulled himself up on the dresser it tillted foward and then the draws fell out and it fell on top of Riley. He through up the dresser the draws all the clothes and Riley wasnt moving! Thank GOD he then started to Cry. Thank God he wasnt seriously injured. But something that EVERYONE should go out today and buy! Right after that happened they anchored everything to the wall cause really you never EVER know!

Lots of furniture comes with the straps. Our entertainment center (it was a really cheap one from Walmart) came with the straps My DH strapped it to the wall and we dont even have children.

OMG! how incredibly sad.
Thanks for posting when I was about 6 I climbed up my brothers dresser to open the ninentdo cabinet up there and I tipped the dresser and it fell, luckily the bed was there to stop it from crushing me. My mom walked in and thought I was under it and i was hiding in the closet cause I thouhg I would be punished...serves as a reminder to me as well...since i long forgot about what could of happened to me.

poor meaghan..

When I was about 4 I knocked a dresser and TV onto my legs. I had to go to the ER and was so scared. Luckily for me my legs were only badly bruised and not broken.

That little girl was so cute. Did you know her?
That is such an unfortunate thing to happen

We put the furniture ties on Paul's dresser the day it was delivered. This is very important for your child's safety!!!

I jsut read about twins who recently pulled a dresser onto themselves and both were crushed to death...

DH and his twin brother laugh all the time about how they used to tip their cribs over when they were in them when they were little...but it's really dangerous.

I hope lots of people learn from this...
