With Poll - How many of your are asking your BM's

to wear the same shoes?

I originally wanted them to wear the same shoes or at least the same color. Then I was hanging out with a few BM the other day and they were telling me of shoes they already own that they were going to wear.

What do you think?

my girls are wearing tealength dresses and i'm having them wear silver shoes of their choice so they will be able to wear them again in the future.

i know how annoying it is to wear a pair of shoes that don't fit my feet well...so i just decided that it would be easier if i let them choose their own shoe....because then each could pick the shoe that makes them comfortable in the color of my choosing.

of course, they are all wearing 'floor-length' dresses....had they been tea length, i probably would've cared more.

I have such a problem with shoes and am so miserabel if they hurt my feet so I am going to let everyoen choose their own....but i think we are going teh dyeable route so everyoen will haveteh same color...

I didn't make my bridesmaids wear the same shoes but I did insist that they all be either dyeables or gold (my BM gowns were champagne).

Unless they're wearing tea-length dresses I don't think the shoes have to be the same.

I told my BP to get whatever kind of shoes they want. 2 wore black, 1 wore silver.

if the dresses are to the floor, no one really sees the shoes anyway.

I was a MOH 4 times and dyables are the color runs on your feet and they're overpriced. IMO

ETA: I actually wore dyables for my wedding and hated them! they were so uncomfortable after a while and they were $50 shoes I will never wear again

Mine are wearing tea length dresses, so I wanted all of them to wear the same shoes...I offered to pay for them, though.

I originally asked them to get silver shoes (any style they like), but I decided to just let them wear whatever they want. I know it's important to some brides, but to me it's not. I told them as long as it looks good with the dress and they feel comfortable walking in them it's okay by me.

ETA: They're wearing cocktail length dresses

My girls are all in cocktail length dresses, and they can pick their own brown strappy sandals.

I just asked them to all have closed toe shoes and to give them to me when they got them so that I can have them dyed. I wanted them dyed at the same place at the same time so that the colors would all match.

i told my girls to wear anything they are comfortable with. I didn't care if it was dyed to match, silver, clear, black whatever. Two chose to get shoes dyed, two wore silver with crystals, and the rest wore clear. All looked gorgeous, all were happy b/c they got to decide how much they wanted to spend on shoes or wear shoes they already owned and all were comfortable b/c not all of them like heels and a few never ever wear flats.

JMO but you are the bride so do what makes you happy - if matching shoes is important/ high priority than they will understand

I would love for them to wear the same shoe, but I would be kind of hard b/c everyone has different taste and I want them to be comfortable. So, if they can't get the same shoe, I guess at least the same color

I requested the same style, but not the same exact shoe. I then paid to have them all dyed the same color.

This is what I'm doing. I have such a hard time finding shoes since my foot is enormous, I didn't want to inflict that pain on anyone else.

My BMs are wearing tea length dresses, so for me it mattered. I gave them the option of either dyed to match, or silver, and they voted together to wear silver.

I don't really care what shoes they wear - their dresses are floor length and they might as well get to have a shoe they (a) feel comfortable in &(b) would really want to wear again.
