to wear the same shoes?

I originally wanted them to wear the same shoes or at least the same color. Then I was hanging out with a few BM the other day and they were telling me of shoes they already own that they were going to wear.

What do you think?

I just told them to wear black shoes. I really don't care about these kind of things.
I wanted to let them pick there own dresses, and just have them in the same color. My idea got shot down by my some of my bridal Party.

I say that they can wear what they want just as long as the color is the same.

I don't think it matters. The only thing I would want is for them to have the same color.

Okay, I have to butt in on this one.

I have bad knees and can't wear thin-ish heels, or thick-ish heels that are above 2 1/2 inches. I was in a wedding last March (one of my bestest friends), and I almost dropped out of the wedding and stopped talking to her over this issue. She made all her girls wear the same exact shoe, and the heel was too thin for me. When I asked her very politely if I could possibly wear another shoe, because my knees make it impossible for me to wear heels, she told me she 'can't have her girls wearing different shoes'. So, I did it-- I wore the thin heeed shoe down the aisle, and I almost fell.

Now that it's time for my wedding, I'm telling my girls to wear the same colored open-toed sandal. Period, end of story.

It doesn't really matter to me what kind of shoes they wear. The dresses are floor length so no one is really even going to see their shoes. They'll probably end up getting them all dyed, but have different styles.

One of my bridesmaids came up with the idea that they'll all wear whatever strappy black sandals (with a little heal) they want... provided they're not hideous!

My girls are wearing floor length dresses so you won't even really be able to see their shoes. Given the situation, I thought dye-ables would be a waste of money for them. It's spring and the dress is pink, so I just requested that they try to get sandals or open toe shoes, and try to avoid black. Other than that, they can wear whatever they want. If their dresses were shorter, I might have felt differently, but it just didn't make sense to get matching shoes in my case.

same color. We have tealengths - so I asked that they do the same color and do strappy sandals. They actually wanted to match the shoes, but one of my BMs is a size 12W - so it was pretty much impossible to find a shoe they all liked in their sizes. oh well!

Yeah I wanted them too, but one of them has issues with open toe shoes so I guess they won't.

Originally I was going to ask the girls to wear the same shoes but then I thought about it and I think that they would be more comfortable wearing something they know won't kill their feet all day. All that I ask is that they wear black shoes.

I just asked them to wear some type of sandal in the color of the dress, other than that I don't really care.... I would much rather have the girls in shoes that they find comfortable!
