to wear the same shoes?

I originally wanted them to wear the same shoes or at least the same color. Then I was hanging out with a few BM the other day and they were telling me of shoes they already own that they were going to wear.

What do you think?

They are wearing all different shoes - of their choice. They all have a different dress too - same color

Jodi's shoes in stony brook has a big selection of colored dress shoes and a few dyeables. Reasonably priced too. I'm a bridesmaid this march & the dress is a dark red/wine & i found a pair that perfectly matched the dress for only $30.
She didn't care about what shoe we wore as long as it was the same color or very similar to the dress. i lucked out by finding a match.

my girls are wearing tealength dresses and i'm having them wear silver shoes of their choice so they will be able to wear them again in the future.

BM's are wearing champagne, I asked them to wear whatever shoe they wanted, as long as it was champagne or gold.

I'm asking my girls to wear shiny silver strappy shoes, but they don't all have to be the exact same. I want them to be comfortable but the color does make a difference in the pictures.

Gosh..I kind of feel like a Bridezilla now

I will have long dresses, but they all will still have the same show..

I just asked them all to wear silver shoes, whatever style they want. I figured this is something they might have, and if they don't can definitely wear again.

I asked them to wear silver.. I've been in so many parties and have wasted so much on shoes I never wore again... and I really don't like the typical bridesmaid look anyway... my friends are all different and I like that about them!+

This is exactly the situation we had too--everyone was quite pleased with it! The different shoes looked great (actually two unknowingly bought same ones!)

My BMs wore champagne floor-length dresses, and I told them to wear whatever shoes they want that are comfortable. I didn't want to make them spend more money on shoes they're never going to wear again.

I told them I would like them to have the same color, even though they're dresses are short. I can't expect someone who is 5'9 to wear the same heel as someone 5'2, so they should pick what they feel comfortable in.

Dresses are all floor length, so they won't be seen anyway. I left it up to them.

I am going to let them wear whatever they want, I trust them all and know they wouldn't chose something innapropriate. I want them to be comfortable.

I want my BM feet to be comfortable and I have heard horror stories on what BM were asked. I told them to get the shoe in silver in whatever style they preferred. Some are going open toed and some are closed, but their gown is long enough, it won't even matter.

i'm pretty anal with matching...reason why i picked floor length dress now, i have to deal with some of them wanting straps and other don't. i prefer strapless with their hair up...yes, i'm pretty anal.

I just requested silver sandals....we are having long dresses and personally I'd rather they just be comfortable.

I think a lot would depend on the length and color of your dresses.
