Woodchuck Cider

Last weekend bf & I were up in RI (enroute to NH) & we stopped at the Mews Tavern in Wakefield with a million beers. I tried the Woodchuck Cider (the sweet apple one) b/c I usually do not like beer at all and it said super sweet. I LOVED it. Does anyone know if it is fairly common/available here? It's made in Vermont.

It's very easy to find Woodchuck around here. You can buy bottles in a lot of supermarkets or distributers. I'm not sure about the super sweet though. Cider is my favorite beer subsitute, since I hate beer. I also like Cider Jack a lot.

ETA: I dont' think super sweet is an actual variety...they may have just been describing it that way. Here's a link to the website..it's not listed there.

Thanks Jaclyn....yea they described it that way....it was sweet as opposed to the Granny Smith tart flavor.

and if you can't find Woodchuck, try Woodpecker. It's comes in different flavors like pear and raspberry. It's really good!

I drank Woodchuck Cider all through college. We used to pay $1 a bottle!

Usually I see Cider Jack on tap at bars, but that is if they have cider at all.

we like woodpecker also (sorry it doesn't really answer your question tho).

We have a pub we go to occasionally for lunch on Fridays (Dillons on W 55th st), and once when we ordered it they were out and went out to buy it for us. :)

Cider is yummy.

Wow - that's a blast from the past! I loved Woodchuck in college - haven't had it in a long time! You should be able to find it no problem here!
