woodlands girls- long and important!!

woodlands girls- long and important!!

i had a drama filled day yesterday. i found out that eileen is no longer with the company and i totally freaked out. i couldnt handle going through meeting another BM when i only have 1 month to the wedding. I have gone through 8 people, BMs and other employees, who have tried to help me through this process. Going through all these people has only increased my stress and anxiety over the past 16 months. So yesterday was my breaking point and i was all out bawling at my desk. I wanted to change venues, thats how bad it was.

I called FH who was in the middle of a million things at work and he called my mom. a bunch of phone calls were made and we decided to keep our tasting appointment that had ben set for last night. The new general manager, Antonio, spoke with FH and managed to allay his fears. We got to the tasting and he spent the ENTIRE time with us (almost 3 hours!). He promised that he would be there on the day of our wedding in the Maitre'd capacity. He managed to answer all of our questions that we've had pending for all of this time, and was very straight up about everything, which i truly appreciate.

I am going to cautiously say that i have faith that there will be no more ordeals, dramas or tears and that it will be smooth sailing from this point forward. I am not one to badmouth a vendor which is why i am writing to let you know that the woodlands is making it right. Of course, I have 100% full faith that the day of will be spectacular, judging from past brides reviews and the food from the tastings. I just want to let the other brides know what's been going on so that they dont have to stress the way that I have.

i totally understand your frustrations. the turnover there is a little ridiculous. Towards the end we dealt only with Joe S because we got tired of switching BMs and then once we had our tasting we worked with Antonio for everything after that point.

Antonio is amazing and was super super helpful. He took care of every little detail we talked about and was always very attentive and responsive. Honestly you have nothing to worry about if you are working with Antonio. Your day is going to be AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!

yay 1 month!!

Just sent you FM! I think it's going to be ok. I was not a fan of Eileen. And to add a happy thought - did you see - they just got new linens.

Eileen was awful. When I went there to make another payment I couldn't believe they hired her. Had she been the person I met when I went to see the Woodlands there is NO WAY I would have booked there.

Black... the reds they had didn't match my colors.

im not good at that stuff. antonio is going to show me the navy with the ivory and if it doesnt look good, im gunna go with ivory napkins and be done with it. i think the black will look good too.

this is so ridic. I just had my tasting and was supposed to email Eileen this week with my choices....I'm really mad also. This could really discourage future brides who may book there.

They seriuosly need to get their act together. Who is the new maitre'd if Antonio is the GM????? Who is in charge? I still love the venue and I am sure all will be fine but this is unacceptable! And they don't even notify yoU!

Joe S is gone also! at my tasting Eileen said he's at the Water's Edge pretty much full time

i found this out yesterday - supoosedly Sally is going to take over for her. I am very annoyed about this bc I emailed Eileen last week and she never got back and thats when I called to speak to her. I wasnt a fan of Eileen either but I would like a little consistancy!

Re: woodlands girls- long and important!!

where do i start - glad eileen is gone...sally should too - she was useless...met joe but didn't really deal with him, but i heard he gets annoyed easily. antonio seems nice and promises to get things done. hopefully they get their act together soon. because my wedding is in 50 days!

oh fyi - if you're dealing with sally you'll have to email her a bunch of times before you answers you, or it will be days before she gets back to you and she wont answer all your questions...good luck dealing with her...i'm thru dealing with her...

hey girls - on your contract what does it say you have to pay the matrie'd?

i recall nicole saying $3-5 but she wrong $5 on my sheet...

Re: woodlands girls- long and important!!

I had some major issues with my tasting. I am hoping it was bc it was the friday before memorial day- but sally is letting us do it again. I haven't even realized the turnover bc no one has even contacted me once since melanie last summer. I called to schedule my own tasting- and no one even came up to us after the tasting to tell us the next step. I just found out Sally is my new contact and this was the first time I spoke to her. This better shape up!! My wedding is in 43 days!!!!

The thing about them not notifying people pisses me off because even when the guy who sold my sister her car left the dealership she got a freakin letter. Would it kill someone to send a freakin letter out????
