Woodlands Reception Room

I was at the Woodlands last weekend and there were probably just under 200 people and the tables werent on top of each other and there was room for at least another table or more in the back of where I was sitting.

As mentioned in the other woodlands post, the dance floor was definitely on the smaller side but it was only kinda hectic after the first dance when the music picked up and a lot of people were out there. AWESOME FOOD tho!

For those of you who have been to, had or are having a wedding at The Woodlands....does the reception room comfortably fit 175 guests?

I think they can easily fit that amount of people. We are having between 175-200 guests at our wedding. If it would ease your mind, I would totally recommend contacting your banquet manager and asking to come and see the reception room set up for an actual reception one day soon.

My mom and I did that just to ease my concerns about shape of the room/lighting and it looked absolutely beautiful. We went in on a Friday around 5pm just as they were setting up the room for a wedding that night (before the bride and groom and their families got there of course!) and we were able to get a real picture of what the room will look like on our wedding.

It was also helpful in the sense that it REALLY helped me decide whether or not to go with high or low centerpieces -- the bride that was getting married there the day I went in to see the room had all high centerpieces and I thought it looked beautiful.

With 175-200 guests, there's no need for them to open up the cocktail room, making it 'L' shaped. That would only be if you have 250-300 guests I believe. So the room would stay just as is -- rectangular shaped.
