SO IS ANYONE GONNA STOP WORKING AFTER MARRIAGE OR GONNA WAIT AND BE A STAY AT HOME MOM OR GONNA WORK WORK WORK.

I'LL BE WORKING FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!!!!

ONCE WE HAVE KIDS, ILL STAY AT HOME (PROVIDING WE CAN AFFORD IT) OR HOPEFULLY AT LEAST UNTIL THERE ONE, THEN MAYBE GO BACK PT

I WISH I COULD STOP WORKING!!!!

If we can afford for me to be home, it most likely won't be for a very long time. 2 years at the most b/c I am a teacher and once I get my tenure they give me 2 years off at the most.

i'm not SAHM material....i like working--i can't see myself being a SAHM. besides--right now it looks like there's a good chance i'll make more $$ than FH , and therefore i will want to keep working so we can be rolling in it!

i always thought i would be a SAHM BUT we both realized that that is not possible if we have kids right away
so basically the options were: wait about 5 years and then possibly stay home ( not a guarantee)
OR
have a baby after one or two years and go back to work! i have baby fever so option two it is!
which is why we are staying close to our parents, my mom doesn't work so she can watch my babies - i make my own schedule at work AND we have an awesome daycare - i have lots of options so i am okay with the decisioN!

I am starting law school a few weeks after the wedding so I'll have to keep working, can't see wasting all that money on tuition!

I'd like to go back and get certified in Early Intervention and work privately. I am not sure if I could withstand the BOE H-e-l-l- and be a good mommy!

I don't know yet. . it all depends on the financial situation. I want to be able to take the kids off the bus etc. and be there for them with homework and stuff if possible.

i dont think financially i would be able to stop working...im the bread winner of the family....fh wants kids right away, so my mom will probably be our nanny so we can both still work

I will work...I do want to be an at home mom tho..so when I do get pregeant that is what I want to do..but in the mean time..its work for the both of us

Why would I stop working after I got married??

But when we have kids, he most likely will have an in home business so he will be home then.

TOO BAD FOR ME BEEN THERE DONE THAT WE HAVE TWO KIDS 2GETHER AND IM STILL WORKING.......AND THEYRE BOTH IN SCHOOL SO I WOULDNT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MYSELF IF I WERE ASAHO......MAYBE IF WE HAVE MORE KIDS I MIGHT TRY IT

Without any doubt in my mind I would like to be a stay at home mom.... I really don't like to go to work everyday!!!
I will probaby have to work though-- financially it would be too hard not to.
I guess I would try to do early intervention-- working with children with autism... that way it can be part time-- I can kinda make the hours

I would love to be a stay at home mom just because I would not want anyone else to raise my children.....I think that when we have children I will work part time or try to get a job of some sort that I can work from home.... We'll see.

Gonna have to work work work....in 18 yrs from now when our kids are going to college tution is expected to be $250,000 for 4 yrs of school. so i will work to put all my kids through school...and be a broke old maid!!!

I MUST work. FH makes good money - but I make better money. And with a mortgage, two children and a puppy... I think it is nearly impossible to be a single income family on Long Island!

But I like working anyway. Gives me something of my own outside of cleaning, cooking and tending for babies!

I am going to work until we have kids, then I would like to take 6-12 months off to stay at home with our child... but I want to go back to work. I get bored sitting at home all day..
