Worried about this centerpiece

I love this centerpiece but am worried about the flame not be enclosed. My FH and I are doing a hearts theme - he buys me a heart for every holiday birthday etc. Well I like this centerpiece, with some accents around it and stuff (mirror underneath, smaller candles and rose pedels). Should I be worried about having the candles not covered?

This is beautiful! I see your concern however about the open flames. I cant really tell the actual size but maybe a large hurricane lamp around the whole piece would work.

Tapers are the tall skinny candles. Their the ones you use to light your unity candle.

i def understand where you are coming from! thats why i wont put candles in my centerpieces....maybe you could talk to your RH about this

I would check w/ the hall. I know I can't have any open flames at mine.
Give a call to find out what their rules are.

I dont know about the flames but I wanted to let you know those are GORGEOUS!!! I love the whole heart theme!

The only thing I would worry about would be them not being sturdy enough-but my cousin had almost the same idea for their wedding as centerpeices and they were no problem!

I dont think you'll have a problem.....use the tapers. I think they will look great

those are very pretty! i would be a bit worried too, if they arent sturdy then it could be a problem..i know they now have electric 'flames' that they use in th epedestal candle holders, i dont know if your interested in that, or if it would fit, but it could be an option, that is what i am using....if not tho, as long as they are sturdy i think it should be ok, just check with RH and make sure they allow it!

I would be worried about the open flame too. Someone could reach across the table and next thing their arm is on fire!!

they're really pretty - and Fox has no problem with candles- it was on my 4 page list of questions to ask.

However....make sure you get smoke-free tapers. When normal tapers burn, they send off those smoke ribbons, and people like me (with sensitive eyes) will be uncomfortable all night!

(At the LIW anniversary party, we blew out the tapers on our table, b/c the smoke was bothering everyone.)

It is very pretty and would match your theme perfectly, but I would call Fox Hall and ask if they allow taper candles and also if your worried then I wouldn't get them because you don't want to worry the whole night at your wedding, and better safe than sorry.

I am on the fritz will this!!! I love the idea and beleive it or not, FH found them (he actually photoshopped candles on them so we can get a better idea of how they look).

you know, i do think its pretty, but a taper candle might be dangerous (imo)
