Hello, Any newlyweds out there have a 'worst wedding gift story?' I know there have been a great deal of posts as how much to give to the happy couple.
Just curious.
Thanks.

We didn't get any bad wedding gifts, but we did have about 10 of DH's friends come and not give a gift.
I'm afraid that might happen to us...

Re: Worst Wedding Gifts
A pink nighty from our landlady. It wasn't even nice. (it was cheap from Walmart). We also got a bounced check. That seems to be a popular gift. DH made me call my cousin (I didn't care if I embarrased them cause I can't stand his wife) and she sent a replacement check w/the $15.00 bounced fee. (this check cleared).

These are so funny
But I feel bad that people have to dread opening envelopes sometimes. It's sad that some people do it out of lack of education or consideration. and unfortunately this ends many friendships.
my suggestion for future brides is keep your guest lists on the smaller side and most likely you'll cut out these ppl b/c the ppl that love you the most will most likely not do this to you.

OK i know we should let this thread die of natural causes, but look at the E-CARD I just found (You can also order REAL PAPER VERSIONS )
I would say it was a toss up between a thrift-store bought sugar bowl wrapped in newspaper and some kind of water heater/boiler thing to make tea with.... I had to read the box twice to even figure out what it was.

we saw someone proudly display their 'blockbuster night' gift bag at a friend's wedding about two years ago... it was DH's friend from College. we were horrified... it was a fleece blanket, two movie rentals, popcorn, snowcaps, twizzlers and that's it!!
That is awful!!!! Who would give that as a gift???
