Okay so as you all know, I gave my two weeks at work so after next week I wont have a job. FH & I still havent purchased our rings and our wedding is 94 days away. I was thinking I would get a Diamonique wedding band for the wedding and after the wedding when we can afford it, Id get a real ring. Does that seem horrible to you all? I want FH to get the ring he wants and Im willing to sacrifice with a fake ring so he can get it. Would anyone else do this? Money is soooo tight!

Why dont you just get a plain gold band. Later on you can get a nice one.

If I were you I'd get a plain gold band -- they can be pretty cheap. Go upstairs at Tri-county. Then you can get a diamond band as an anniversary gift down the road, but can still wear your wedding band if you want to be a little less flashy, or when you go on vacation etc.
My only hesitation would be that I'd want to wear my wedding band forever, and not switch it out later. (I know many people do). I'll probably end up doing that anyway though since I want a diamond band and jews are supposed to get married in a plain band. I'll probably get married in my grandma's wedding ring and then swap my real band...

Awwww thank you Jess. That is so sweet. I just figured, he spent so much to get me such a beautiful engagement ring, he should get the ring he wants you know? Im gonna head to tri county and see what I find there. But I think I will definitely sacrifice on my band one way or another. Im not a crazy jewelry person so it doesnt really bother me. In all sincerity i think it's wonderful!!! I told Dave i'd accept a ring pop & i really & truly wasn't kidding... It's not about the rings - it's about the feeling you put into the ring when it goes on his or her finger!

Exactly. He always makes comments about how he wishes he got me a bigger ring and it makes me sad that he thinks that way. My ring is perfect cause he gave it to me. And he's always sacrificed for me. He keeps telling me he'll just get a regular gold band but I know he wants this one ring so bad. I have to get him his ring! lol

Thats what Im saying! They have rings that look EXACTLY like the wedding band I want. They dont look cheap at all.

ITA with jess! i would do the same thing! you are so sweet i think your FH will be so pleasantly surprised when you give him the ring he really wants! my band was not very expensive and i loveeeeee it.. it matches the engagement ring FH picked out all by himself for me which means more to me than anything. i agree with jess about it being about the meaning it has when he puts it on my finger. i dont think theres anything crazy about what youre doing.

They just had a set for the special of the day about 2 days ago that I thought about ordering b/c it is like what i want for my wedding band. it was a set of 2 round channel set rings and a scattered stone ring. they can be worn separate or all together. No, I don't think it's bad if you get a fake for now (they have some really nice ones!) and you should definitely check out QVC! I was thinking of doing this myself!
