Everytime it's someone's b-day at work they have a cake and card for that person usually in the afternoon and sometimes the people that leave before 12 b/c they are part time will suggest having the cake before they leave. (It depends if you're special to them or not) well, I know I am an adult and 31 years old today, but it's already going on 4:00 and no cake nothing, only three people said Happy Birthday to me at work today. I just think this is rude. My own superviser did not say a word to me and oh yea she is gone for the day, how nice right?

sorry - that suxs - but i am sure your family, friends and FH will remember. in all honesty who cares about what your co-workers anyway....just remember today next time someone needs a favor....

yea.. thank god for my FH and family.
Although his family (mother and Grandmother, sister and Aunt) did not call me or send a card! That's messed up.

gosh, that does stink...this happened to me once....they always did something for everyone's bday and then when mine came around, they all forgot!!! (luckilly, one of my bosses at the time remembered and scrambled out to get stuff...but it still hurt.

At my old job they would do this, and every year I prayed they would forget. I couldn't stand them coming in and singing to me.

they did that to me at my job, too. We ended up having a cake 6 days later...and I had to share it with the boss. (her birthday is 2 weeks after me.)
