Just looking for some advice/opinions...about 3 weeks ago, one of my new neighbors stopped me on the street as I was taking Paul for a stroll. She wanted to tell me that she was hosting a 'Home Interiors' party, and would like to know if I'd like to attend.
She referenced the rest of the women on my block, and I got the sense that everyone else had already been given their invites, and replied. So, I politely thanked her for thinking of me, and she promised to bring the invite to my house later that day or the next.
Fast forward to today...she rings my doorbell at 3:30 or so, with invite in hand, apologizing up and down that she didn't bring the invite by sooner, and the party is tomorrow.
So my question is...if this were you, would you still attend? Mind you...I don't know ANY of my neighbors...only introduced myself to some of them once, and others I JUST met on Halloween, when we took Paul trick or treating.

I will answer! You should go, because if your neighbors barely know you, you can't take it personally that you weren't invited sooner. Use this opportunity to meet people in the neighborhood!

Claud, I think you should go Sounds like the lady just forgot to bring the invitation. Rude? A bit yeah but I'd give her the benefit of the doubt this time.
If you knew all your neighbors already, I'd say don't bother, but this can be a good way to meet them. And you don't need to buy anything expensive either. And if you think you'd feel weird going on your own, bring a friend. I don't think that lady will care, if it's one of those selling things at the house party (she'll be thrilled probably!)

Claud this is such a great way to meet your neighbors. I would definately go. As most other people said if you think you might be uncomfortable then bring a friend with you. Your neighbor may have been busy and just couldn't get it to you sooner. At least she remembered and didn't just invite you then blow you off. Go and have fun!!
Trish I promise if I have any sort of party I will invite you! We are neighbors..almost. What's a few blocks between friends!

I wouldn't go, only because I'm PAINFULLY shy around people I don't know. BUT I think you should go if you think you'd feel comfortable. As everyone said, it's a great opportunity to meet the neighbors and maybe even make a few friends!

I think you should go too. It will be a great opportunity to meet your neighbors.
Technically, you were invited a couple of weeks ago so I would consider getting the paper invite yesterday an oversight.

Claud, I would go, I have been in a neiborhood where no one ever talked to each other or invited you to anything. Plus upsate here I really don't have any neihbors and I would kill for some. You really want to make friends with your neighbors. Trust me...

I would definatley go!!! What a great way to meet all the neighbors. I wish I had something like that to go to...I live in a condo and I don't even know the people upstairs or next door!

I would go. I could understand your annoyance, but you'll probably punish yourself more than her by not going and missing the opportunity to meet your neighbors.
