would you be insulted....

if you were asked ot be in a bridal party after everyone else ordered their dresses?? i have a cousin who i'd really like to ask. i dont even know why i didnt ask in the first place. she goes away to school and i dont know if itll be too much for her...what do you think? could i approach this by saying, i wasnt sure if it would be too much of a burden, but id really like to have you as one of my BMs?

I wouldn't either - but I'd need a good 'excuse' as to why I wasn't asked in the first place. Thinking it would be too much for me is a good reason though! go ahead and ask!

I have been asked 2 times after everyone else. Both weddings were for people who I was in the midst of forming close friendships with and I was honored to be asked it has made our friendships even closer

I don't think its too late at all, just say you really want her to be a part of your wedding and you don't know why you didn't ask her in the first place - but don't harp on the first place stuff, stress the excitement and how you love her.
