would you be mad????

Hubby knows my password for my email account, and he checks it sometimes. Because I have an account with excite, and it will have an envelope when I have mail. I noticed that I didnt have one, and I always get junk mail. So I checked it and it said I had 5 messages.
I know he checks it. I dont know why. Would you be mad if your DH did this??
How do I approach him?

Just ask him why he checks it. defintiely appraoch him.

I used to check FH's e-mail a lot in college. he was far away and it made me feel close to him..but I only did it when I was feeling insecure, and crapy and coudn't get in tocuh with him. Now I really VERY rarely ever check it, because there's just no reason to, and he should have no reason to check yours. Just ask him. it's better to talk about it than to wonder.

I don't think I'd be mad, 'cause I have nothing to hide...I'd just be curious as to WHY he was looking...

Thats a little strange?

FH and I are extremely close and share everything, but email is not one of those things. If either of us went into the others account to look around, there would be anger. For some things, I think privacy is ok. We have nothing to hide, but I'm not interested in reading about what he writes to his parents and friends, and his words are his own and he should be free to use them any way he pleases. That goes both ways.

If it is bothering you, I would ask.

That's a little hypocritical. I'd be really mad. Why does he think it is OK for him to check yours but you can't know his password?

I wouldnt be mad. He doesnt know my password though, and I knew his..I was able to plan his 30th surprise party a few years ago by sneaking into his account and getting email addresses..LOL

If he wanted to know my password, I would tell him and vice versa

I was actually thinking the same thing! Mike one time sent me some stupid email. He knew my password.So he was going to go in and delete it. What He didn't know was I changed it the night before.

i don't think the issue is about having or not having something to hide. IMO it's a privacy issue. i wouldn't be happy if DH chceked my email. married or single, we ALL need our own space/freedom.
