Umm...how is she making wedding plans without being engaged? Doesn't her boyfriend think that's kind of psychotic? If I were a man, I would just dump her because I wouldn't want to be married to someone so spiteful. I would be pissed too.

girl i feel ur pain. when my sister got enaged and set her date. my cousin forced her b/f to get engaged. my cousin planned her wedding so fast. she got married the week beofre my sister did. its just jealousy. imma tell u the same thing i told my sister. worry about ur wedding only and don't bother with her. make ur day special and don't even think about her wedding.
I would be pissed and refuse to go to her wedding and tell everyone in the family why. Call me a bizitch but I never let go of grudges. It's a crutch I have...
ETA: If she was ACTUALLY engaged I wouldn't be as mad...

Re: would you be mad...
I would definitely be mad. FH's cousin got engaged two months before we did. And they set their date first. We went to them and told them that we would like to get married in 2010, six months after them. We asked them how they felt about it and if they were okay with it. They were so happy that we'd gone to them and they were fine with it. We wanted to put enough space in between the weddings for both families. It's just the right thing to do. You have to communicate with family.

I'd be mad too. Whatever you do don't offer details about your wedding to her. All she needs to know is your date and that she'll most likely be invited.

i feel you- im kind of in a similar situation. my borther got engaged last january and is getting married this november. i got engaged a few weeks ago and he keeps making little remarks about how i'd better not get married before him. i can tell that my FSIL feels the same way. i certainly dont want to steal his thunder but what if i wanted to get married THIS summer instead of next summer. we eventually decided next summer's better anyway because we can save some money but if it wasnt for annoying family, i probably wouldve had my wedding sooner!
it sounds like your cousin is intentionally trying to piss you off- you have every right to be mad- not like my FSIL!!

I can't believe he says that. If my FSIL said that to my FH that would cause problems. were is it written that if you get engaged first you have to get married first. I'm feel lucky not to be dealing with drama. At least not yet
