would you be mad...

if you had a cousin...and you didnt really like her....and the second she found out you were getting married..she decided to start making wedding plans of her own...even though she wasnt even engaged...then she set her date for 4 months before your wedding???

thats the situation im in...and im kinda pissy about it...

I have a cousin similar... I would definately be mad, especially for the fact that I am planning a wedding and she ends up making her date before my wedding. I mean cmon...has to be an attention seeker.. it has to be about them, and they cant just let you shine.

If I were in your shoes... I would definately confront her about it.... Especially because she knew you were getting married and she was not even engaged or did think she was getting married soon.. and just decides to make her date before yours. My parents ask for my cousin to be my maid of honor...so I agreed in order to make them happy.. she is the attention seeker...and I told her its My way or no way.. It is my day and wutever I want done is how it will be done. I dont need anyone telling me how to plan my wedding, the way they want.
Just speak up girl...... your FH needs to see how you feel and I know it probably hurts you ...your not alone

i WANT to confront her about it...i really do...but my family thinks it will just cause drama ((my family has enough drama)) but i really want too

I agree...don't let her get to you and just be in the bigger person. be nice to her and let her go about her own ways til she gets over it. sometimes u just cant change people

is there a particular reason she chose the date she did? maybe find that out before you confront her. if she can come up with a really good reason it is better to know that before any drama begins.

all in all, yes it ***** and i would be upset as well. but it sounds like your FH has been in the picture much longer than hers...so what really counts is which marriage lasts the longest and is the happiest. if she wants to be a B*** and take your spotlight, whatever. if she is lucky, maybe her marriage will last as long as you guys :-/

My FSIL got engaged in the summer of 2008
she set her date for the end of oct 2010
We got engaged nov 2008 but plan on having our wedding in the begining of 2010.
we are not trying to steal her thunder buttttttt should we really be forced to have our wedding in April or May of 2011?

Flip side is I like my FSIL.
Plus FH had it planned out when he wanted to propose. It's not like he woke up one day and said hey my little sister is in engaged maybe I should be too.

FSIL and I are having fun sharing our ideas.
If she is pissed. She is doing a great job of hiding it.

I'd be more mad if she planned it the week before. I think you might have trouble arguing a point that she booked 4 months before. You cant really claim the whole year...even though it would be nice : )

I agree with this....I def think that it *****...but 4 months is enough time for everyone to get back into the wedding spirit and have a awesome time at yours!!!
