i was looking at an old friends facebook pictures & she wore white to a wedding!!!! luckily for me she is not invited to my wedding.
the ironic part is that she is in a picture with the bride & people commented saying, your not suppose to wear white to a wedding & her answer was it was off-white/ivory.
if this happens at my wedding, i will be so pissed off. when i showed the picture to FH, he wanted to make a bet to see if we could guess who at our wedding would do that.
so, if someone wears white, off white or ivory to your wedding how will you react????

Re: would you be mad????
My mom wore an 2-piece ivory dress with the jacket on my wedding day. And my wedding gown was ivory as well. I think if it's a beige or cream color, I wouldn't go nuts over it. If the bride was wearing an off white or diamond white then it's def disrespectful for someone to dress in all white. It's the same with all black dress, some people say it's perfectly alright but personally, it's not a color I would wear to someone's wedding. It resembles too much to dressing for a wake or funeral. I've seen people wear a longer version of black cocktail dress. I think if it had sequins or designs or something to brighten up the color a bit, it would be perfectly fine.

I would be more pissed if someone showed up with a KID or got drunk and made a scene!!!! I would be a lil annoyed if their dress was white n looked like a possible wedding dress...if its a suit of some sort I couldnt care

I am going to echo this sentiment:
I probably wouldn't even notice, I think my attention will be focused where it should be: On me, and my new husband.
She's the one that's going to catch all the flak... so let her look like an idiot. No way that stupid girl in a white dress is going to compete with me, no matter how hard she tries
I would enjoy hearing other guests remark on how assinine it was of that guest to wear white to my wedding and leave it at that...

Re: would you be mad????
funny you bring this up..a co-worker of mine needed a dress for a wedding and she picked this WHITE dress that had a little bit of black detailing along the bottom. so everyone was like ehh so i said let me see if i would be mad if you wore this to mine..i took one look at the pic and i was like oh hell no. so yes i would be a lil peeved but like barb said...people would be saying things about her and she would like like the fool

My dress is oof white and I wouldnt care if someone wore white or off white. Everyone knows that I'm the bride so I would be fine with it. I wouldnt wear white aor off to someone elses wedding because I know that some people may have a problem with it but I really dont mind. I would be more pissed if someone wore jeans to my wedding..lol
i agree

I'll admit I'd be offended, but I would NOT let it ruin my day

I'd be bothered just because it seems pretty obvious that you shouldn't wear white to someone else's wedding, but I wouldn't let it ruin my day.
