Ok, so I already ordered the BM dresses and they came in last week. Now, I regret my decision and I wish I had gone with pink dresses.
The pink dresses I want are ALOT cheaper, so it would be easy to get them. Plus, I know all my bridesmaid love the dress because it was one of the choices in the beginning.
I need your opinions...Would you be mad if you were in a wedding and the bride wanted to switch your dress, even if she was willing to pay for the new one plus buy your shoes?

Honestly, I'd probably be annoyed. IMO, I think its a lot to ask someone to pay $250, I'd probably have been slightly annoyed that you picked the more expensive dress to begin with. Then I'd be annoyed that I bought this dress for $250 and will probably sell it for half the cost. I would get over it, It wouldn't kill the friendship, but I'd be annoyed. Sorry!

It depends how much I loved the first dress. I guess I wouldnt be TOO mad if the bride was willing to buy the second dress. But then again, I'd be a little angry that I spent all that money on the first dress that I'd never wear again.

Wait....so the BMs paid for their dresses..over $250. Then YOU are selling them on Ebay for $599..and then paying for the new dresses (which are cheaper)??
I'd be annoyed. Very annoyed. You're selling something I paid $250 for. Selling for less than $200 and then taking that money and buying me a cheaper dress? No way!

The girls did not pay $250. They paid $200 each and I paid the difference. I would never ask my girls to spend over $200 on dresses!
Also, the new dresses are $130, plus I would get their shoes which are $70. So it does come out even.

if we're looking for honest opinions here, then yeah I'd definitely be pretty annoyed - but I'd get over it. I'd just be mad that I spent all that money on the last one, not to mention getting fitted and all that nonsense that BMs hate to do. If you were paying for the new one, then I wouldn't really complain. But it would still annoy me that I paid all that money for the other (if it wasn't going to be sold).

If you sell them and then buy the other dresses I don't think there's any reason for them to get mad at all.

If you were paying for the new one I would not be upset at all. I would be a little ticked and hope that you would have known since the beginning since it was a waste of my time to go try on the first dress (just being honest). If you are going to switch, do it sooner then later.

If you are selling the old dresses, I think you need to refund the money to your BMs the difference - so they are only paying the cost of the cheaper dress, which was $130.
I'd be annoyed otherwise.

Well the thing is, if there is a huge difference in price like you said, then they might have paid $250+ for a dress (as you wrote on the ebay listing) and now if you want to have them wear a $100 dress, I'd be pissed that I had wasted $100-150 pretty much since you could have gone with the $100 dress to begin with. I think rather than pay for the new dress, you should refund them the difference between the two dresses. Otherwise I really don't think it's fair to the girls, IMO. I'm a bridesmaid in two weddings before my own and it's hard to come up with the money for all these things, I'm sure you can understand. Asking them to get a $250 dress is one thing, but then buying them a cheaper dress and asking them to wear that isn't really making it right, I don't think, unless the costs even out. If you pay the difference, then you're able to sell the dresses, you might break even for yourself.
