Yes- but do to my MOH dress being ordered in the wrong color she and my mother wound up in almost the same color, wasn't a huge deal but if she is doing it on purpose I would be annoyed

Yes. Has the dress been ordered yet? If she likes the color of the dresses maybe she can get it in a different shade? My mom is wearing a darker shade of the dresses. Maybe your fmil does not know the 'traditionally rule'. My FMIL doesn't know any 'traditionally rules' and I had to let her know and she felt so much better once we spoke about certain things. Maybe that would help? Only a suggestion....

I dont think it really matters, atleast she isnt wearing white, not that that matters to me either. If anything, she would be keeping up with the color scheme.

Not at all. Dress color is one thing I am not worrying about at all. If my FMIL and my Mom both want to wear white, I'd be OK with that too...I so am not stressing it. I pick my battles!

At first, YES, but then I'd remember that she'd be the one people were laughing at and I'd be over it. There's so many other things to worry about. I'm sure my FMIL isn't even buying a new dress! Whatever. She's crazy.

However.... if it was the same DRESS, then not only would I be mad, I (and FH) would probably be quite embarrassed!

I don't think I'd like it. I mean, it wouldn't make me crazy, but I don't think I'd care for that.

Re: Would you be mad if. . . .
my mother went insane while i was picking out BM's dreses b/c it took so long - she kept saying 'I can't get my dress until you get the BM's dresses - I'm afraid they are going to be the same color!' I kept saying 'Who cares?!' and she was aghast.
I think this used to be a big no-no. Personally, I could care less.
