Would you be offended if you were only invited to the reception and not the wedding? We want to keep our wedding ceremony small but I don't want to offend anyone.

Re: Would you be offended?
If I am invited to someone's wedding that I am not very close to, then I probably would only attend the reception anyway. I know a lot of people who do this. So I don't think people who you aren't very close with would be offended if they weren't invited to the ceremony.
ETA: Just make sure it's worded clearly.

I voted yes - because I feel the ceremony is the whole purpose of the day. People are going to want to SEE you get married. Not just be invited to the party.

I would be a little insulted. You should invite everyone and just let what happens, happen.
I said maybe b/c it depends on how close I am to the bride and groom and their family.

Let the people decide if they want to attend the ceremony or not, most people don't but give them that choice. If i was invited to the reception and not the ceremony, i would be thinking they just want my $$$ whycan't i watch them take vows??!!! I would most def be insulted
I wouldn't go to either, ceremony or reception(unless it was family)..
