Ok, so upon mutual agreement one of my BM's is no longer in the BP. She already got her dress but was being a complete biatch and I haven't spoken to her in months! Anyhoo, she emails me that she'll be in town this weekend and says 'I definitely won't be getting my own wedding stuff at David's Bridal, so you can have the dress back and use the credit'. Is it me or was that a bit bitchy? What is she above David's or something??? This is the same BM that told me a few months ago when she got engaged that she 'wants something different than JT because her guests need something better'. What the F***?

ETA: She just emailed me that she would still like an invite since she got the STD! What do I do???? I know she only wants to come so she can compare and try to top me next year at her wedding!

ETA AGAIN: So she calls me today and leaves me a message that she's been in town for the last few days and is leaving tomorrow morning so she wants to come by and drop off the BM dress because she 'really wants to get rid of it'. I hate this biatch!

while this horrible person totally deserves a comback like this one, I have found that ignoring all forms of communication attempts on her part is MUCH more effective, because you will leave her hanging. Don't invite her, don't call her. Just let her be alone. I would also tell any friends that you have in common to not discuss any of your wedding plans with this girl. Excise her from your life as you would a gangrenous appendige. That is what she is.

No I got the dress back. I called David's and they said that I can return it and get a store credit. Which is fine because I can use it towards my FG dress and maybe my slip.

Saved $$ and got rid of a person who you did not need in your life

I would be offended. She sounds like she is trying to be rude on purpose. There is no way that I would invite her to the wedding. She doesn't deserve an invitation.

Wow, people never cease to amaze me. An invite? Does she smoke crack? Hmm, no crazy girl, no invite for you. Her comments are really mean and uncalled for. I agree with those that said that only those who love you and your FH and understand what a wedding is about should be invited. Ignore her. Don't stoop down to her level. Karma will take care of her. I would NOT invite that crazy weirdo to your wedding. When she received the STD, she was still in the BP, right? If you invited her, she would most likely complain the entire evening and make nasty comments to get attention. Is that what you really want at your wedding? I haven't read all the replies, so maybe someone has already pointed this out, but... Her comments - yes, they are mean and hurtful, but more than that, they are also reaching. It sounds like she's working hard to come up with snotty things to say. Therefore, in a perverse way, you opinions clearly still matter deeply to her. So, yes, she's all the things people have said, but even better than that, she's pathetic. The best revenge is living well. Nothing will bother her more. All the nasty things you could rightfully call her won't hurt her nearly as much as your own happiness! And you shouldn't feel compelled to invite her, by any means. I think it is important to be a gracious hostess and not become TOO self-centered, but she is far, faaar out of line. Circumstances change. Yes she got a STD, but things have changed, end of story.

Unfortunately ladies, FH feels we should still invite her. We have mutual friends and he doesn't want it to be weird. We're both hoping she declines but we just don't want her spreading rumors and making it bigger than it has to be. And if she decides to go, then I'll sit her in the back by the speakers and ignore her all night long! Wish me luck...
