Would you be upset?

I asked FH's sister to be my maid of honor because she is like a little sister to me. When her best friend found out, she had jokingly said that she would then get a 'used maid of honor'. I don't think she was actually joking.

Fast forward to Sunday, my MOH's best friend got engaged and they chose their wedding date. She's getting married 6 DAYS before me!!! And when she told my MOH, she said 'Now Nicole will have the used maid of honor' (again jokingly but I don't really think so).

How would you feel? I was devastated because it's 6 days before mine and I know I was overreacting but it's been bugging me and I just needed to vent.

It kind of does sound like she planned her wedding to be that close to yours on purpose. That is a lousy thing to do to a friend.

i think you are just being sensitive, so not be upset, tell your fsil that it made you sad and i am sure she will make u feel better

awww don't even worry about it. Her friend just sounds miserable lol.

In 08 my friend and I both got married the same year and we had the same MOH. I don't think we ever thought about a used MOH, there is no such thing and makes no sense lol. Not like shes no good after the first one

I don't think it's her friend, it's her MOH's friend.

Either way, this girl is a moron. ALL of my BM's have been BM's before - maybe I should kick them all out too bc they're 'used.'

I'll bet MOH's best friend was just a little jealous that you beat her to the punch in asking her to be MOH first. Don't even let it get to you!!! Clearly your wedding will be more of a priority to her, since its her brother's wedding!!!

Her life revolves around you, dont worry about it too much... just dont walk down any dark alley's cuz she might be following you .....

i had a used MOH for mine! my cousin was married 2 months before me and we both had the same MOH. the girl didnt mind at all. and she was just as happy to do both weddings.

i just feel bad for your FH's sister! only 6 days rest in between weddings?

LOL! You ladies are amazing! Just reading your replies has really helped me. I've been so bummed about it and this really, really cheered me up. The whole 'used' thing really is so ridiculous!!

I just feel really bad too for my MOH because now she has to help plan 2 bridal showers, 2 bachelorette parties, go to 2 rehearsal dinners, and buy 2 dresses and help with 2 weddings at the same time...absolute craziness!!

Thank you so much again ladies! I feel a lot better now and you all just seriously rock my world!
