Would you enjoy a brunch bridal shower?

I don't know diddly-squat about these things. Showers, I mean. I love brunch. Most people do. Help me be girly. I'm thinking Alice in Wonderland meets brunch. Thoughts?

i actually made the one request that mine not be brunch! i don't like breakfast food much and i wanted it to be fun like a girls night out (especially since i have so many married friends with kids!). i always hate giving up a whole afternoon for them too, i thought people might look forward to a girls friday night dinner instead!

I went to a bridal shower brunch a few years ago.... it was great.... they had breakfast and lunch foods and they served mimosas.... it was fun!

we were going to do a brunch for our eparty, but changed our mind last minute. I think its a great idea and I think your guests will have the best of both worlds, breakfast and lunch to choose from!!!!!

yea, i guess it depends... the one I went to was at a really fancy place, waiters walking around in tuxedos with white gloves fancy.... and they served a bunch of fancy breakfast and lunch foods.... mimosas, fancy desserts, etc..... so it didn't have that feel..... but i see your point.... i guess it depends on the place...

See, this is why I asked for opinions...because I don't know jack shyt about this stuff.

Sometimes I forget though that not everyone is aware of my situation...my family is drunken Irish-Americans, FH's is Muslim Bengali-Americans...his side eats halal only. My family will eat and party pretty much anywhere. Brunch is not only something I enjoy, but something his family would be able to enjoy and not have to worry about whether or not it's halal, since it's heavy food and mostly vegetarian. It's a happy medium.

i dont think those muslims would enjoy sausage and bacon .. just a hunch.. i could be wrong.

they ONLY eat halal? *** kinda shyt is that!?

i guess if u want we can go look for places on hillside ave together lol theres a place on homelawn thats halal chinese food.

what's halal... sometimes my brother comes home from the city drunk at 4am with a styrofoam container of some kind of rice and lamb with some type of cream... the bag always says Halal... and i have no idea what that means

No...it'll be vegetarian. But it's easier to please them with breakfast-y things than Italian food, from my experience.
And yes - most of his family follows a strictly halal diet. I think you're talking about Sagar Chinese on Homelawn...every mothafekkin' event they have is catered by that place. It's good, but it's not gonna happen for my shower. We have it like once a month with his family!
I told my mom to just book a shower where meat is served (and have an entree be fish, since people that follow halal can eat fish - but not shellfish) but she said noooooooooooo since the wedding is vegetarian, the shower should be as well.
I guess on principle she's right.
I'm thinking maybe Bob's Place in Floral Park (or near there..) They do a fancy schmancy brunch. Brie and florentine eggs and criossants and all that shyt.
