Would you enjoy a brunch bridal shower?

Original post by kris_gets_hitched

I don't know diddly-squat about these things. Showers, I mean. I love brunch. Most people do. Help me be girly. I'm thinking Alice in Wonderland meets brunch. Thoughts?

the cart on 33rd between 7th and 8th is halal and they make the best BEC (turkey bacon) EVER!!!!!!!!!! NO LITERALLY EVER!!!!!

There's a place not far from the lesbian bar FH and I found ourselves in last week in Seaford that makes halal ham out of turkey. Which kind of grosses me out, but then I eat bacon made out of soy...so I shouldn't talk.

I actually like the brunch idea. I just went to a baby shower brunch and liked it alot more than the standard food you get at every other shower. And for those that dont like breakfast, I would also have some sandwiches or wraps

Alright, I've been trying to figure out what you're talking about...'guru type places'?? I'm confused.

I'll keep Verdi's in mind, but we used to have events there when I was younger. I want something new because I am difficult!

Absolutely! I love brunches. Our e-party was a brunch

ETA: a good brunch isn't just eggs and bacon. Besides the bacon, home fries, and baked goods, we also had a crepe station, omlette station, carving station, chicken francese, and penne ala vodka.

Ilana - Well, I am considering inviting a few LIW-ers...depends on the headcount, which is OF COURSE up in the air on the FIL's side!

Alyssa - I'll keep Paddy McGee's in mind, thanks!

Laura - I definitely intend to have a couple of pasta stations - didn't think of an omlet one (I don't eat eggs...I'm clueless on like, everything!) so thanks for enlightening me to that!

I think it's very common to have a brunch bridal shower. I have been to 4 bridal showers in my life, and 2 were brunch.

Re: Would you enjoy a brunch bridal shower?

yes i love brunch bridal showers! I have been to one at HR Singletons in Bethpage. It started at 12 and had a mixture of both breakfast and lunch foods (so you had bacon, omelet station, pancakes, and then pasta, chicken, etc). In the center there was a bunch of muffins, danishes and other goodies. I loved it because i was a fan of the omelet station.

I have been to a more elaborate one at Russo's on the Bay which was by far the best bridal shower i've been to lol but not only did they serve brunch they also served a 3 course lunch afterwards!
