Re: Would you ever?
If I had to... but I'd rather not. I asked my BMs RIGHT AWAY and sometimes wish I had taken a little more time, but I hope I made the right decision.
I asked my bff from college, but we haven't kept in touch that much since because we've been so busy with grad school..... and I also decided not to ask some of my good friends from grad school because at the time we'd only known eachother 1 year and i thought it might be weird. sometimes I wonder if I was wrong to ask bff from college, or if I should have asked my friends from grad school.... but the dresses are ordered and things have been done so I'm going to leave it as is.
I'm planning another way to honor my grad school friends (maybe a corsage or a single rose, with a symbolic meaning) and I'm hoping everything works out with my college friend -- we've been making more of an effort to keep in touch, and she was one of my closest friends so I'd like to honor her.
If one of my BMs was MEAN to me though, I would be much more likely to drop her. Luckily I haven't had to deal with that so far, but I've read other stories from people on here and it's sad/scary what weddings will bring out in people. I don't know your situation but if one of your BMs is treating you badly you do have the option of dropping her if you need to. They are supposed to make your life easier, not harder. Feel free to FM me if you want to talk further...
