would i univite someone to the wedding?
if need be..yessss!

laura-
i agree with alesia, if it's something other than cheating i would try to work it out. I guess we'd be the only newly weds in couples therapy. if it was cheating, then i would have to call the wedding off. yea, i'd be embarrassed, but having a gala wedding and then a divorce soon after is also embarrassing too!

Janna-
I'd definitely go for the house, it's so much harder to come by!

Alesia-
if it's a gift i really really didn't need and i didn't see anything i could exchange it with at the time, then I guess I would take the cash.

And now for my question!

what if a family member volunteered to pay for your entire wedding but it had to be on their terms, would u do it?

Laura: I'd go through with it... If it ended up not working out, then I would consider divorce, but with only a week before the wedding and with everything wedding going on there would be no way for us to really attack the problem head on until after... The only time I'd break it off with a week to go is cheating, and to go along with that if I contracted an STD from him because he was cheating.

Janna: I'd go for the house and the destination wedding... the house is going to be so hard to come by on Long Island.

Alesia: I'd totally return a gift for cash if I didn't need it and I was able to make the return.

Goldie: No, I wouldn't. I'd rather pay for the wedding and have it be on my terms than have someone else pay for it and tell me what I need to do, etc. I can't take that sort of thing.

Another Question: Would you ever.... move the date if you became pregnant?

Goldie---I'd probably go through will it and would mostly likely feel horrible for the whole thing.

Joanne---I would move that date extremely quickly, but not for religious or familial reasons

Next Question:

Would you ever give up your dream job to become a Stay at home mom to your kids?

omg windy, let me knock on wood! lol. I would definitely have to. Financially there would be no way and with me in school too. omg, i love babies and there would be no questions about me keeping it, but i would be a little heart broken about putting all my goals to the side. I would have to be a 2012 bride!!!

( to all the faces...yes i'm easily amused)

as for giving up my dream job.......yea i would b/c I know I can work at home and still have something to do with my profession. also b/c my parents were NEVER around and it really ******. I don't want that for my little rugrats.

my turn for a ???

would you pack up and move out of NY b/c of cost of living here and bring your kids up in a different place...knowing they won't get as much of an education or culture effect as here?

I see you went through the myriad of emotions there!

Alyssa-- I would move. I believe education has a lot to do with the individual, if you want to learn then you can. As far as the culture thing, I am not too worried, every immigrant family makes sure that their children know and identify with their culture. When ppl ask me what am I, I say trinidadian or west indian but I was born in Gainesville, Florida.

Re: Would you ever...

we'll all get to 1000 posts if we keep up with these good topics!

I can't really see myself as a stay at home mom for forever. My dream job would entail me having a flexible schedule that way i could also spend a lot of time at home too.

and although i may complain about new york, i can't really see myself living anywhere else. that's why i'm trying to get my piece of the pie soon!
