Eventually, FH wants to have it reset for me and add some side stones or something. He purposely got a plain channel set setting because he wanted to get something different in the future.

Absolutely NOT! he picked it out and i think that would hurt his feelings...plus it has way to much sentimental value for me to ever change it!

FH 'upgraded' my ring about a month ago, I love it just as much as the previous...it's not the ring as an object that I'm attached to, it's really the thought behind it...and what it represents to myself and others: that I am taken by my FH and that we're getting married!

well my sister a gemologist started working for international diamond industries and she said she can get my 7000 ring for 2000!!! I got my ring from zales and they have this thing where you can exchange the ring for something else whenever you want.. so my sister suggested that I buy day of jewelry there and get a better ring for about 4000(maybe a 2 carat) soooo I did ALOT of thinking weather or not I should go for her offer... but then again my FH bought me this ring with his hard earning money and I am sure he put alot of thought into it so I took down the offer.. I want to keep my ring I'm sure he picked it because he thought it was perfect
