I would consider upgrading the setting to one with diamonds or maybe getting an eternity band though.

That's exactly what we will do.

I don't think I'd upgrade it, but I will probably stop wearing it after awhile. I had really wanted a sapphire ring instead of the diamond that I got...so I can see myself losing the e-ring (not literally) and just wearing my wedding band (which will be alternating diamonds and sapphires).

Absolutely not. DH and I briefly discussed what I would like in a ring and he didn't get me 'exactly' what I described. I also gave him the freedom to pick what he thought was beautiful.

DH put so much thought and time into picking out this ring. He saved for months and it truly came from his heart. I wouldn't change this ring or anything about it for anything in the world. The meaning and thought behind is just so much more valuable to me than the size.

I never would..its the ring he gave me and its the ring I want to show my kids when they get older. My diamond is the perfect size and shape and its all ive ever wanted...so i would never ever ever upgrade it!

I would never, but I got the ring of my dreams. However, I know lots of girls who have upgraded and are much happier.

Not me. When we started talking about marriage, I told my FH that I wanted to get a ring that I would wear forever and never think about upgrading, so he got me the very best one he could and I love it. I work with a Deacon and he also blessed it when I got engaged, so now it has even more personal value to to me.

Yes, we will upgrade. But, DH says I get to keep the ring I have now

I will NEVER give up my setting, but I have thought about trading up the center stone, and putting my birthstone into my e-ring setting.

I would get a bigger diamond, but wear it as a solitaire.

I would definitly upgrade! I love my ring, and it has a lot of meaning to me, but if money was not an issue, I have no problem getting a bigger ring and making my current into a necklace :) jmo.

NEVER! This is the ring he researched for weeks. This is the ring he put on my finger. I remember opening the box and being amazed. I remember the look on is face when he asked me to marry him. I remember waking up the next morning and looking at my hand and thinking I'm Engaged!! I remember looking at it in the sunlight for the first time.

It's not what I picked out, but it's perfect! It's meant to be a symbol of our relationship--I wouldn't trade my DH in, why would I trade in my ring? JMO.....

Never. It's perfect how it is. It shouldn't be the carats of the rings that matter, it should be the love behind it. JMO, but I think it's wrong to do so.

Honestly...... yes I would IF we had the extra money. But IMO we never will. Theres so many other more important things to spend our hard earned money on ( houses, college funds for our children etc)
I would like to change my setting ... actually to one that is less expensive!!! lol
I might change to a solitare eventually just b/c at the time my dh got me my ring it was exactly what I wanted but my taste has changed in the last few years.

Well i think my ring is very pretty and the diamonds are very pretty and sparkly...

The FH said that he is going to upgrade my ring and I am not going to stop him.

If he never mentioned it I would never have said anything.

I just keeping asking him if he is going to do it b4 the wedding.. wouldn't want it afterwards!!

Can't even dream of it! My fi worked really hard to get me a ring, the ring I wanted since I was 12, so much so that the jewelers still congratulate me on having found him (to this day - every time I go get the stones tightened) they remembered how hard he worked at getting the perfect stone...I can never change it!
