Re: Would you ever up-grade your e-ring?
I think it's kind of mean to upgrade your ring- unless it's something you've discussed as a couple. I know that my DH would be devastated if I even suggested upgrading my ring. He spent months researching diamonds and designing the setting with a jeweler. He put in so much effort that I would never insult him like that. And the fact of the matter is, I absolutely LOVE my ering. It's perfect for me. I know plenty of girls with larger diamonds and that's great for them, but I wouldn't really want something bigger than what I've got- it's just not my personal style.

Re: Would you ever up-grade your e-ring?
when we had been engaged for about 9 months, i upgraded my ring... but only the setting. my original setting was a solitaire, but when we were just out shopping one day, i fell in love with a setting that has channel set diamonds in the sides. so i kept the same center stone ( 'only' .55 carrot... but who cares?! theres WAAAY more important things in life to worry about than diamond size, and besides i'm barely 5 feet tall... anything bigger i tried on looked gaudy ) and i changed the setting... when we were shopping, i couldn't make up my mind between a solitaire settng and one like i have now, so FI got me the solitaire, thinkin it would be easy to change if i wanted to

Never in a million years. He says its a princess ring for a princess. My fh picked it out on his own and it means the world to me. Its a past, present, future ring princess cut with baggets and the size(tw 2k) is perfect with my lil fingers.

I absolutely love my ring and it's a very nice size - I was really shocked when last week DH made mention of upgrading it in a couple of years because it would be the 'right thing to do'
