Would you go somewhere on your HM, if you already went with an Ex?
Our HM plans as of now are to go on a cruise out of PR. After that we are planning on going to either Costa Rica or Barbados (leaning towards barbados because is cheaper).
But I'm again thinking about the money. Airfare is only 250 a person if we stayed in PR. To go to Barbados after the cruise, makes the airfare 700 per person. I know thats still pretty cheap but thats a big difference. So I've considered staying in PR. The thing is I've been to PR with my ex and I think that takes away from being their on my HM.
Would you guys go somewhere if you went with your Ex?

FH and I really wanted to go somewhere that neither of us had been before... with anyone. But yeah... I think I might feel a little weird going to a place I had been with an ex. Unless it is a completely different area, resort, etc.

I would probably go on a regular vacation, but not something as big as our honeymoon

Yeah. I felt the same way, just the whole money aspect came into play. You girls are right though.

I dont think I would....certain places remind me of certain people, and I dont think I'd want that for my honeymoon.

i think for a HM -- no matter what -- you should go somewhere 100% brand new to BOTH you and FH! Going somewhere that you've never gone before on your HM just seems to make it that much more special........like the two of you are experiencing something for the first time together and only you two have had that time in that place.
DH and i considered mexico for our HM---but then i said 'wait--i've been there 2x already!' (once with DH) scraped that idea--and we wound up doing a new locale and it was GREAT!

Definitely go with Barbados. It's gorgeous! I'm not really sure how the nightlife is though.
To answer your question, it really depends. I answered yes because I didn't really go places with my exs. I have been to Cancun with an ex and that was it. Cancun isn't where I'd go on my HM but I would go somewhere in the area. If we decided on going to a place I went with an ex I'd make sure we stayed in a different hotel.
ETS: With our HM it's definitely more extravagant than any vacations we have been on so it's definitely going to be much different.

Nope. I want to go somewhere new for both of us. I think it's more special, and gives us something to plan together that FH gets more say in while I work out wedding details he need not be bothered with.

for my HM we are not going to Hawaii b/c i was there like 10 years ago with my family and FH and I want to go somewhere that neither one of us have been to...

I said no... but not because I might've been there with an ex.. but because I've been there already period... we wanted to choose a place where neither of us had ever been (which wasn't hard, because we really haven't been anywhere... LOL)

I don't really know how to answer this, I guess it depends on the person. Both FH and I have been to Mexico....we went to Cancun together a few years ago BUT......((EEEK)) he went there on his first honeymoon (he's divorced) but from what I understand it was kind of a nightmare.
ANYWAY, my point is that I really REALLY want to go to Riviera Maya so so so so BAD but FH is refusing b/c.....well....I have no idea why...but I feel like if i'm ok with it then what's the big deal?? Apparently, he disagrees so whatever. We're looking into Punta Cana lol.

i probably wouldn't because imagery dictates my thoughts and seeing things i've seen or done with my ex would make me think of him immediately, so not something to do on my hm, lol!

i wouldnt for the HM but FH and i have gone to disney and both of us have been there before with our ex's but we had such a great time together - we both felt that we had so much of a better time there with eachother and at that point it didnt matter that we went there with someone else because neither of us enjoyed ourselves when we were there with our ex's - our time there was our own experience which was wonderful - so i think you can still go to a place that you've already been to with someone else and have a great time
