Congrats!! I respect that so much! FH and I were planning on waiting until we got married. We didnt - but we are still each others first- which I find so romantic.

I was a virgin at your age and intended on staying that way until marriage, but then I met FH and knew he was the one, so I decided to do it before we are married. I am marrying the man who was my first, so I am still happy.

Congrats on both of you waiting. I knew another couple who were each other's firsts, but they gave in about 3 months before their wedding

I don't think I'd want to be the experienced one 'teaching' a virgin ... or vice versa (I'm not good at being 'taught,' either... !!)

My first time (not with FH, with my first boyfriend from H.S.) we were BOTH virigins. I thought that was special. It actually took a lot of the anxiety off both of us, and we had fun with it. We learned a lot since we were together for a long time

I wouldn't change a thing about that first experience. But being more experienced after that, I dont think I would've been comfortable with a virgin from that point onward....

I think this thread might make brides to be who are reading this who ARE saving themselves feel bad....or look like goody 2 shoes - when they are not. I think it is still honorable to do that - granted, I did not - but I have a lot of respect for people who do.

My personal opinion: man who want to marry a virgin are very insecure!

That said, of course one can fall in love with a girl who just happends to be one, but there are actually men who are looking to marry someone who has never been with another man! They want to make sure that his wife will have no one to compare them to... Like they have something to hide, OR NOT!
