Would he really still be a virgin after dating me for a while ..... I doubt it

Seriously - in all honesty I wouldn't even be able to date someone who wanted to remain a virgin until marriage. I respect the values behind it and all - but we would not be compatiable morally. So I guess my answer would be no because of that reason.

i just wanted to add...
i thought this was a good question... i know everyone has different opinions...

as someone said a virgin is not like a leper, however, being inexperienced they might not be able to keep up with the other person who had more experience, and thats tough to get married and have that incompatibility...

we decided to wait because of the our religion, but i think its great of all the couples who took a test run before they got married

Thanks for saying that your choice has a lot to do with religion for you. I was thinking it might be because I knew another couple who were waiting for each other and they were pretty hard core Christian, but I didn't want to say it and have it come out wrong.

For whatever reason you choose, it is great. I waited for FH, though I didn't wait for marriage and I don't regret my decision in the least. I gave a special part of me to someone who has given me special parts of him (not sex, but other personality traits) and it feels wonderful!

Re: Would you marry a virgin?

wow - i never realized how strongly people feel about virginity.
i have never thought of virginity as a bad thing.
personally, i would suggest someone wait until they find someone they feel comfortable having that sort of intimacy with before they have sex....and not to worry about an age.
age is, after all, a number...

I don't see virginity as a bad thing, but I don't think I could be with someone I wasn't compatible with sexually. I would have to test the waters. What's funny though is that when you are first with someone you are with them all the time and ten years later. you realize there has to be more than sex. I have been w/ my fh 10 years. We are still very intimate, but not even close to what we were in the beginning. Thanks god we still have great conversation. There is so much more than the sex in marriage. You don't stay married for good sex.
