My personal opinion: man who want to marry a virgin are very insecure!

That said, of course one can fall in love with a girl who just happends to be one, but there are actually men who are looking to marry someone who has never been with another man! They want to make sure that his wife will have no one to compare them to... Like they have something to hide, OR NOT!

I don't think that is necessarilly true..........if it is bad it is bad, she(no one in particular) is a virgin not brain dead, she still knows what feels good..............

Yes, but she could be feeling even better, except she doesn't know about it! ya gotta shop around before making your final decision, which makes your choice that much more significant! you better know you are happy through and through because otherwise you are going to wonder what else is out there!

I mean, I used to think Turkey Hill ice cream was the best there is, untill I got a load of Haagen daaz, my ultimate favorite!

If you do a little comparison shopping beforehand, you know that you ended up with a fine product that suits you the best and keeps you happy for a lifetime!

I see no problem with that. I think that if you love someone you respect their beliefs. It is that simple.

I think this thread might make brides to be who are reading this who ARE saving themselves feel bad....or look like goody 2 shoes - when they are not. I think it is still honorable to do that - granted, I did not - but I have a lot of respect for people who do.

sorry JMO

I have a lot of respect for them too but I don't see why this thread should make them feel bad. I would think they have thought of all these things already. It is a conscious choice, not an accident.

I only said that because the tone of it made it seem like 'Would you marry a virgin?' aka 'Would you marry a leper?'

LOL

Re: Would you marry a virgin?

I think it is an assumption that anyone who doesn't have sex with the person she/he is dating is a virgin.

What if a woman tells her partner that she thinks he is really the one and therefore she doesn't want to have sex with him until they are married, but she has had sex before?

She is experienced, but not with him.

Or what if that is just a story? And she really is a virgin?

There is a lot of trust involved.

I think your sexual experience or lack thereof shouldn't determine whether or not someone marries you. They should love you for you, the rest will come naturally.

If you are looking for the best sex, then by all means, shop around, but if you want a life partner, don't worry about the sex, worry about whether or not you love a person.

FH has already admitted that being with me is a million times more exciting than any of the more experienced girls he was with in the past because we love each other and we connect on all different levels, not just the way we move our bodies.

Comparing food to sex! Whatnow I like the way you think!

My answer is no way. Sex in a relationship is too important to me to leave it to chance. Besides, if I met a man my age (33) who was a virgin, I'd have to wonder.

I wouldn't buy the first car I drove, or the first house I saw. You have to have some basis of comparison to know what you want or what you like.
I also agree with the concept that men who are hung up on marrying a virgin have some weird insecurities going on

I don't think I would.

It would be like buying a car without taking it for a test drive.

I'm going to be with this person for the rest of my life. I want to be sure we work well together.

I understand your point, but what if you were a virgin as well? Are you saying that you would have sex before marriage just to 'test drive' your sig. other? Not being sarcastic, just curious. I think love goes a long way and that's what makes you compatible in this situation, you work on it together. Maybe I'm wrong, I think there is a lot more to marriage than sex. JMHO.

How can a woman possibly love a man who doesn't satisfy her in bed?
Sexual connection is just as important as mental or emotional. Without it-there is no relationship!

I agree 100%. This has to be a a two way street between man and woman.

I want to be with a woman comfortable with her body and willing to explore the adventurous aspects of sexuality.. (That's meant to be a lot more innocent than it sounds... LOL) I don't think you get that with a virgin. I would not rule out marrying a virgin if she was THE ONE. But it's OK that she's not.

For me, my first rumpy-humpy was a chick from Chicago and she taught me much. It's this experience that I take and use on FW. LOL

There aren't too many virgins left.. male or female.. and I respect them all!

I don't deny that they need to have a sexual connection, but I think it is possible for a couple to grow closer and for sex to get better over time and exploration. I enjoy sex more now than I did two years ago and I am with the same, one and only, partner. We have just shared more and we know more about our likes and dislikes in and out of the bedroom.

I think people who dismiss potential mates because they think they are not good in bed, need to reevaluate the relationship. If there neither mate has a legitimate sexual disfunction and they truly love one another, their lovemaking will reflect that.
