Ok. So I bought shoes, but I am still so afraid of them being uncomfortable. I want to have something to change into. I found these, they are made with swarovski crystals, but it seems like an insane amount of $$ to spend on flip flops. The other shoes I bought were $45. Do you think this is something I could try making myself? I am so not crafty.
UPDATE: I can't believe how many responses I got to this post LOL!! I would have never paid that much for flip flops, it really is totally insane. But I did buy some last night, I got them for $10. FH were walking around Manhattan last night and I went into a couple of shoe stores, and as we were leaving one, the guy at the door 'invited' me to go upstairs to their special sale. Lo and behold they had all their flip flops up there for cheap cheap!! So I got these, but in white. What a savings!! I just found the pic on the zappos website, and they are $35 dollars.
I would if I thought it was worth it but IMO these flipflops are not worth $65.

You know what i find ironic (and please don't be offended by any of this)... but 90% of you are saying you wouldn't spend $65 dollars on flip flops you could easily wear again and again. But some of you are willing to spend $400 + on invitiations that will most likely end up in the garbage. I just find that ironic.

no offence taken! im spending almost double that on invitations but thats because i really love mine..
i know it may end up in the garbage, but in my mind the invitation sets the tone of the wedding..gives people an impression on the type of event u are having..i notice that stuff..some dont, but i do
there are plenty of wedding things that i cant justify - but its our wedding and its once in a lifetime!
(ps id spend $65 on flip flops if i liked them, but i think those look like 99 cent store ones with crystals put on them... id spend $65 if they were leather sole and rhinestones!)

I agree with this....the invite is the first impression of your wedding and it can definetely set the tone. I can remember specific invitations that I have received and that have made an impression on me...I usually keep them with pics from the wedding itself in an album

I agree. I remember when I posted the costs of my invites which were over a $1200 alot of people were are you crazy. I am one who pays attention to the small details and that is why I find it important to have invites that I liked and I did not mind spending that much for mine.
