I'll vote for the red wine cabernet but would prefer to test the options in person!!

red wine.
Garlic cream sounds risky, espeically since so many people seem to have sensitive stomachs (myself included!). If i saw that on a menu, i wouldn't be able to order it unless it was left off.

red wine all the way...garlic sounds good but leads to stomach aches for some...don't want that on your wedding day

If I had to choose one, I would choose the red wine as I am not a fan of garlic. Some people simply do not like to mix dairy and meat for digestive (not religious) purposes.
But here is an option for you: Ask if the filet mignon can be served plain and ask if the waitstaff can follow around with CHOICES of topping sauces. In other words, serve both. It is the same as offering two different types of salad dressings.
that's a great idea--
that way you don't have to worry about choosing!
OR AT LEAST they can just leave the ONE sauce you do choose on the side all-together. that way, if someone does not like it they can just eat the steak plain-- it's better than having a sauce on it that you don't like!
