I recently went to a wedding for a couple who are very close to FH and I. I know that they paid an insane amount of money per person but I got food poisoning from it and was sick for a week. I know when I see her after she gets back from her honeymoon she is going to ask me if I enjoyed the reception and the food. Should I tell her the truth that I got really sick or just smile and say that everything was wonderful?
I'd keep the info to myself. You don't want to amke ehr feel bad. If Others got sick, then she may have already found out froma family member. I know i'd be embaressed, adn you wouldnt want to make a friend feel that way. if anything, i would have contacted the hall on my own the next day and let them know.
Absolutely not! If someone told me that they got sick at my wedding, I'd feel terrible! Probably so terrible that I'd start calling every single other guest that attended to make sure they were ok!!!!!

I know, I feel like there is nothing that she can do about it now but I also kind of feel like I would want to know if it was my wedding. Plus, I don't want to lie straight out when she asks me, but I don't want to hurt her feelings either.

not really i got a sore thoat from drinking off a cup at a wedding b4 but iam pretty sure no one else did

Unless that was the only food you ate all day you can not be 100% sure it was that food.

I would not say anything!!
I would want to know...I would feel bad but I would want to inform the RH so that it doesnt happen to anyone else or so that could be aware of the situation.

You can't be 100% positive that you got sick from sharing a cup with someone. You can guess, and you can be more than likely correct, but you can't know 100%. I think that was the point the pp was making.
i know what ur saying there is no way to be 100% but if u went to a doc lets say and they sai u had go to sick from food strep etc.u most likey can go back and remember wat happened last i went to sleep on clean sheets and when i get sick it signs happen that day for me so i am just speaking for myself

You can't be 100% positive that you got sick from sharing a cup with someone. You can guess, and you can be more than likely correct, but you can't know 100%. I think that was the point the pp was making.
I've been to a couple of weddings where the food was a little off but I choose not to say anything because I could think of so many other aspects of the wedding that was beautiful.
i feel like i would want to know if someone was sick from the food at my wedding. i would then call other people and see if they got sick. but the RH should def know if someone got food poisioning. i know you cant know for sure if it was the food at the wedding, but if you narrow down everything that you ate that day then i think you could figure the source out. especially food poisioning, usually hits you sooner.
dont tell her u dont want to make her feel bad. maybe years from now u can laugh about it with her but dont tell her now. i would be so upset and embaressed if i found out someone got really sick at my wedding.
