Original post by BKtoLI

even if you knew for a fact they have another wedding that day?

I'm debating on this right now....

Florist--yes, judge/officiant--yes, DJ/photographer--probably not.

Actually in this department I didn't do as much research as the others.

I'm just concerned because of issues I've had with broken appointments. It's not a matter of second guessing, it's a matter of not feeling comfortable with a vendor.

If you're really concerned, then call that other florist (I'm assuming it's mine) and ask them if they'll take on another wedding. I doubt they will, but it doesn't hurt to try.

It really depends on the vendor and how many different teams they have on staff. I would say yes to limo, florist and reception hall but I would say no to DJ, Photo and Video, unless they had another team available that could service my wedding.

if your not comfortable with the vendor thats a totally different issue - i would not book them if i wasnt comfortable and would keep looking for someone i was happy with.

My experience.....if you're not feeling comfortable... listen to your gut. Is there deposit $$ involved here?

I agree with everyone else, it totally depends on the vendor. I think for the most part, vendors are able to handle more than one event in a day.

If you aren't comfortable, then maybe you should look for another vendor. The last thing you want on your day is worry whether a vendor is going to get things done the way you want them to.

Trust your instincts. If you are uncomfortable, it is probably for a good reason.

I also agree if it's a matter of being uncomfortable with the vendor then change them.

Yes, but it's only $100

Janna, if you really feel that unsure about this vendor, then don't stay with them. Its not worth the stress of worrying about it for the next three months.

It depends on what type of vendor. For hair, make up, limos, florist, especially if they have experience doing multiple events, then I would. For the rest - no.
