Would you want your mother to walk you down the aisle in this?? UPDATE!!!

Would you wear this to a wedding??
My mother is walking me down the aisle.
I think this dress is too light and close to white.
what are your thoughts??
UPDATE: She came over and saw that I wasn't too thrilled with it. It wasn't as light in person as it was in that picture... but that picture is infront of a window with a lot of natural light.... which means that's how it will look outside. I took a picture of her in it and put it up next to my wedding dress and her and her friend both saw what I was saying. She felt awful about it.. she cried. then she went home and called me again and was crying. She said she didn't do it on purpose and she was focused on it not looking like a bride dress....but didn't think of her standing next to me or it being ornate or competing with my dress of any of that. We are going to go shopping for a new dress for her.... she will walk me down the aisle in the new dress and take pics in it and then she will change into this one for the reception. it is a very nice dress. Just not to walk me down the aisle in. The dress reflects light from the top to the bottom... and mine only shines when I move and not really in pictures at all. The sales people really talked her into it too.... they told her... oh MOB's wear this all the time. blah blah blah. ahhh. t his has been a nutty week!!

I do think its way to close to white. I would definetly let her know it bothers you but maybe offer suggestions of other dress colors you like

I am happy for you that your Mom understood your concern. I think its a great idea to have her walk you down in one dress and then wear the other one to the reception. This is a stressful time for our mothers too! They want to look their best too! In the end, both of you will look beautiful and everything will work out. Good luck with everything!

I'm glad you worked it out with your mother. My mom fell in love with a dress that only came in cream (too close my ivory), black (a BIG no-no if you're Italian...), and periwinkle (a color mom can't pull off). I felt terrible saying that the cream was too close to my ivory because it took her forever to find a dress and I didn't want to be like a bridezilla, but luckily my mom figured out on her own, and she found a different dress that's even more beautiful than the first that is a beautiful shade of turquois!
