Yes, I wouldn't have gone if DH went out with the work people, but an invitation would have been nice!!

exactly! im pi$$ed! and he doesnt understand why. besides the fact that we barely get to see one another due to our schedules...

I don't know if I'd be pissed. I'd be a little hurt, but since St. Patty's day isn't a holiday I really celebrate anyway, I guess I wouldn't be too bothered. Now if he chose to go out on Christmas without me, THEN I'd be pissed.

well HURT is def the word and the word i used with DH. we hardly see each other, and a night out when we both have some time would be great. he goes to the gym every night, and this he'll give it up for, yet i wasnt invited.

Do you work anywhere by him? Usually when people go out for work... they want to go out with co-workers.

Maybe nobody invited SO's out. If thats the case... you shouldn't be pissed.

Be pissed if everyone is bringing their wife/FI. But don't be pissed otherwise.

An invite is always nice. I wouldn't be pissed cause I am home sick. Actually, I would be pissed because then he wouldn't be home taking care of me. Anyway, I am always pissed if I don't get an invite when he goes out.

he is a little, but thats not the point. he has never celebrated this day before...its just a night out/happy hour. if it were someones bday there that i didnt know, or someones last day, fine...but this is a random night for all people to 'celebrate.' i just feel hurt that he wouldnt want me to come hang out.

Why should he? Its a night out with people he works with. Sounds to me you are just annoyed he is going out tonight and you are sitting at home.

Is he never allowed to do something on his own?

see the thing is....i woudl invite him if it were the other way around. OR, since this isnt a major thing for him, i think he should take anight and spend it with his wife. as i said up top, we barely get to see each other. i feel that if he could take a night off from the gym to go drinking, he should be able to take a night to see me.

his actions are saying, yeah drinking is worth it, you, not so much! you know what i mean?

not really, because you don't get the chance to go out every night -- it's prpbably just a quick thing

now getting him to take a night off from the gym to be with you, well, that's an issue between you and him
