I have to say that back in 96 or 97, I had the good fortune of sitting right behind the Yankee dugout... and I had a WONDERFUL view of Tino at first base... and I COULD NOT stop staring at him. He is MUCH 'bigger' in person than he appears, and I practically jumped over the dugout everytime he would come back in between innings. The security guards had to warn me and everything.. But I DID GET A SMILE OUT OF HIM

I think you under-estimate the amount of hatred that Yankee fans have for A-Rod.

Granted A-Rod is a great player... but face it... he is not a Yankee.

And any Yankee fan that wants to disagree with that statement... well... i'll keep my
mouth shut.

I think there are a good amount of Yankee fans out there that would MUCH rather have David Wright on that team over E-Rod.

They would never admit it to a Met fan though so I am not expecting anything.

darryl strawberry is a Met, he goes to the yankees, and despite the fact that he's a convicted felon is still given keys to the city

met fans will do the same, i hate pedro, didn't want the trade but he's one of the best, and if he helps us win a championship, i'll grow jerry curls and hire a midget faster than you can say who's your daddy
