i see so many of you girls getting married at the end of 2008 and you have sooo much stuff done already and i feel like i should be moving my @$$ faster.... my wedding is just a little over 6 months away and i still have to-
-make a final decision and order bridal party dresses/tuxes.
-find a florist and decide on flowers.
-choose either the photog or videog package from my RH and then decide who will do the other one i dont choose to have them do.
-find my shoes.
-choose someone to do hair/makeup.
-pick out and order wedding bands.
-make up our song lists.
-order invitations.
hmm im probably missing some stuff.. but thats all the big stuff i havent done yet i THINK. if i think of anything else i will edit this later.. but i am feeling so overwhelmed right now.. i need to get my @$$ in gear, huh?

All of the things you mentioned are not too time consuming...you will do it because it has to be done...I think you will find that most of thiose things can be done a day at a time...best of luck and try not to stress

don't stress so much, you definitely have enough time. don't think about everything you have to do...just put them in order starting with the things that need to be done first and tackle them one at a time.

awww thank you girls sooo much, i dunno what i'd do without this site.. i wish i was on here when we 1st got engaged- i stressed out so much more back before i joined this site lol. and i also think i would have chosen a different RH if i had been on this site before because i dont see much about mine on here.. and what i do see isnt always good stuff.. oh well- im going to make the best of what i have and hope it all turns out perfect.. thanks so much again!!!

Really, don't worry! I'm getting married the weekend before, and I still have almost all of those things to do too!!!
I have done:
RH photographer DJ My dress Florist Officiant
And, I think that's it!!!
We can stress together!!!

where is your wedding? I try not to dwell on the negative...what one person hates another loves...a lot of this is really preference...remember what made you want to book it to begin with

I agree, those things will get done quickly...they are not so difficult. make a list of what needs to get done and then prioritize them. I'd say get the attire and invitations taken care of first. check out weddingpaperdivas.com, mountaincow.com, rexcraft.com, crane.com, thehappyenvelope.com, myjeanm.com, invitationsbydawn.com, now-and-forever.com...many of these sites also offer catalogs...see if u can get them mailed to ...it will be easier to search thru fold over pages you're interested in or just rip out the pages that interest you and get rid of the rest of the clutter.

Dont sweat it. I have gotten anything done yet except RH and photgrapher.
You will get everything done - just do them one and a time. And I am sure your family memeber will want to help also - they will want to feel needed for your wedding. So if you feel like you are going to crack - just ask for someone's else.

For this month, I am moving into my hub-to-be's place and looking for an apt. to buy. In addition, I have to look for a job too. :P
Look on the bright side, you don't have to move and look for a job.

thank you all so much girls, youre the best im going to make a list of what needs to be done and prioritize them all like you girls said.. getting overwhelmed is a big issue with me, when i get overwhelmed i kinda just crawl under a rock and do nothing- which is a badddd idea. LOL.

I can definitely relate. I just booked the hall yesterday for my May 2008 wedding and that is all I have done. FH is away on a business trip and I am going crazy knowing I have to wait for him to get back. Just focus on how great it will feel when you have all the major vendors booked.

yeah i agree- i like making lists.. okay i think i can do this.. lol.. so i guess maybe we will try to order our invitations 1st then we will finalize the decision on the BP attire and get ready to order that all soon too. if i had a bazillion $'s i would have this all done by now.... i cant afford to do everything at once.

Have to start looking for invitations! Shoes Wedding bands He (we) have to start looking for tuxes He still has to ask someone to be a groomsman! We just changed photograhers and booked with them! Wheww..... Nothing re: rehearsal dinner has been done except an invite list And I still have to book limos! Havent even begun a song list! AHHHHHh
