Ok, so remember a few weeks ago I told you how I wasn't invited to the rehearsal dinner of FH's friends' wedding (even though he was and he isn't a GM)?
So today I get an after-wedding brunch invitation ONLY addressed to my FH.
ANDDDDDDDDD the response card doesn't even have a stamp on it.
Are these people SERIOUS!? I'm guessing I'm not even invited to the wedding.
I'm shocked at the tackiness.
How do you NOT invite someone with their FIANCE. It's not like FH's friend doesn't know we're engaged....or doesn't know ME! We've hung out - we were engaged before they were - there's no excuse. I'm blown away.
Wow.
ETA: I sent the response card with BOTH of our names, saying we will not attend. If I'm not invited to the wedding, which I'm guessing I am not...we're not going. FH thinks its ridiculous too.

No!!! They live in a ridiculous apt on Park Avenue, both come from wealthy families, and are having their RD at Tavern on the Green and their wedding at the Mandarin Oriental hotel, overlooking central park.
Just shows you that just because someone has money doesn't mean that they have class.

wow Bonnie that's ridiculous. I'd call them out on it for sure.
I AGREE!! DONT THESE PEOPLE REALIZE HOW RIDICULOUS THEY LOOK? SHAME ON THEM!!
my thoughts exactly!!!! Like you said.. it's not like they don't know you, or that you are engaged.. if you had only been dating a month maybe then i'd get it.. but to not invite someone with thier fiance.. YUCK!!! Tacky is right!
ETA: wow just read that they are having RD at tavern and mandarin is totally expensive. You are right..money certainly does not equal class.. that's nuts!

No! We get along just fine! I've never met her....just FH's friend. We get along well and have gone out a couple of times.
And believe me, I'd know if there was some bad-blood - I'm not oblivious to that stuff.
They're just tacky.

omg, that's terrible, even if he wasn't engaged (which makes this off the chart ridiculous) they have no class (they can live in the mandarin and eat at blt's everyday and still be classless) because how did they not put 'and guest' at the very bottom most least to someone in their bp~

ok then ill have to go with you there just tacky ... the only way i could see you not get invited is if there was major tension between you and the couple ...well the only other thing i can think of maybe they arent aware of eitquette ... i know on my eparty invites i did not address FH friends FI or girlfriends on them not because they werent invited but it just didnt occurr to me at the time to do it ... also my eparty was bigmess and pain so things like that slipped by me ... also i wasnt even aware really that you were suppose to invite the BP dates to the RD i would have never known that if it wasnt for this site or other people telling me i would have been clueless ... but again i dont know these people i can just take your word for it maybe they are just tacky

Well, they should have gotten clued in when I returned the RSVP to the REHEARSAL DINNER and wrote 'FH name and Bonnie XXX will not attend.'
So if they don't get the picture after I return the brucnh RSVP with 'FH name and Bonnie XXX will not attend' then they're plain ridiculous.
I'll keep you all posted when we (and by 'we' I mean probably just FH) get the actual WEDDING invitation.

Re: Wow - shocked by the tackiness...
She probably figures if she has never met you...then you're not invited... I would be so pissed....I would probably RSVP yes and just not go...lol
