X-post '05- past brides I need you help!

I am banking on the fact that you still remember enough about your day's to remember whether the shoes you chose killed your feet or had you dancing til dawn.

which shoes are the most comfortable (yet still on the sexy 'I can wear them again' side?

TIA!

I wore white platform flip flops from VS. I didn't think there were bridal shoes that would be comfy all day. But other girls have said that even if you shoes kill you, you don't notice. Adrenaline will carry you through.

believe me when I tell you that I remember the pain --- the wedding was long over and the feet still hurt!!!! But I have no great advice because I wore relatively low heels (2 inches maybe?) and I had flip flops to change into. They BOTH gave me blisters! But I danced the whole entire day anyway. The adrenaline definitely carries you through.

I had my shoes stretched twice before the wedding, I think that helped (plus all the adrenaline) b/c it was the first and only time in my life that I wore heels and didn't feel like my feet were going to fall off!
I also swiched into slippers when we arrived at the hall and wore them for the rest of the evening.

I wore my shoes to about 2 hours into the reception than I changed into flip flops. The heel on my shoes were 3 1/2 inches and were comfy all day until I started dancing.

I saw the shoes you are looking into on the 06 board and I tried those on. They are beautiful but they killed my feet from the moment I put them on. good luck.

I honestly LOVED my shoes!!! I only took them off briefly because I had to put on the Chinese slippers from the slipper basket...well...within 10 mins I kicked those damn things off and put my shoes back on! They were heaven!!!

I rec'd them on here for FREE from another wonderful LIW bride!

I was out of my shoes the moment the ceremony was over. I wore white $5 Chinese slippers the rest of the day.

oh Dahling...I just read your response and I LOVE your shoes- they are just what I am looking for, with just a little bit of a thicker band up top (my toes are long so I need to cover those suckers up a bit LOL) I guess I will have to hit Barney's though I am afraid of the hit my wallet will take! LOL

oh yes...my dress...have you seen any of my recents posts on '06- it's been 'interesting' LOL, but the dress itself is looking beautiful. Thanks for asking.

ladies, thanks so much for your help and opinions. please keep them coming!

You're more than welcome. They were beyond comfy and worth every penny in my book (more than 2, less than 2 ). Hit the outlet at Woodbury Commons...

I have to check out your posts on 06...I am sure it's going to be spectacular.

My shoes were only 2 1/2 inches high and my feet still hurt (I hate wearing heels, I'm a sneaker person) so the shoes came off the minute I got into the reception hall and on went my satin ballet slippers and I was comfortable the entire night

personally i regret buying 'bridal' shoes, and i wish i bought nice gold or silver strappy dress shoes instead. i spent 80 bucks on something that i will NEVER wear again.

ETA: haha i just realized that im not a past bride, nor did i even answer your question! i just wanted to give you my two cents!

My shoes were awful ... please wear them for at least 2 hours before your wedding to make sure they are comfortable ... it put a damper on my dancing!

Oh I remember! VERY WELL! my shoes were comfy for about 2 hours and then started to hurt. Thank goodness I bought those chinese slippers to change into, they were a life saver!

do yourself a favor... even if the shoes you buy are very comfortable, they might start hurting you after a few hours. get slippers to change into. I bought mine for $2 so it was really no major investment.
