X-Post from BHB: Spanish mass

So the church we are getting married in does not have a spanish speaking father. We decided that we would like a full mass but are worried because our families primarily speak spanish and do not know the prayers in English. What should we do?

Should we even worry about this?

TIA!

Can you bring in a Spanish speaking priest to do the Mass?

id like to hear answers too. fh has a few family members who dont speak english but specifically his mom, we werent going to do programs but were considering doing ones just for the non-english speaking people so they understand whats going on. i also might ask the minister to say like 1 line in spanish if he will like 'i now pronounce you husband and wife' but it might be silly to just have one line

we are having a bilingual mass, but its not what i thought a bilingual mass would be.
pretty much only the readers (only 1 out of 2) will be speaking in spanish. my FILs dont know the prayers in english, so i never really thought about how that would go. i guess i have to ask the priest. sorry i didnt really help u at all!
