X-Posted. Need help with my florist quote.

Original post by MrsInglima

So I went on my first florist appointment today at House of Flowers in Mamaronek. I honestly had no idea what to expect because everyone's prices tend to be all over the place and I want some really simple stuff, so I just went in and said 'This is what I want, what can you give me?'

He quoted me for:

My Boq.
5 BM Boq's
1 FH Boot.
5 GM Boots.
2 Father Boots.
2 Mother corsages
14 Center Pieces (Short and on the small side)
4-6 small votive candles per table
A Runner

And he quoted me at around $3000

That seems really expensive to me. A lot of other girls are getting their prices in the $2000 range.

My general idea for what I want is attached. Simple, modern, clean.

Granted I also want to include gardenias in there, but still, I want small stuff and I'm not getting that much, right?

I'm only going to one more appointment after this because I have four requested florists and one of them is in the city and the other is more of a full table scape place and I want smaller simple stuff.

Any one have any thoughts?

That seems really high to me. I am getting that and more because we have to decorate the ceremony area at my FH. My budget maxes out between $2000-$2500. Have you tried looking elsewhere or have you settled on this particular florist?

It seems a little high to me. I'm paying only a little bit more than that but i'm getting all tall, full centerpieces and it also includes the price for flowers at my church as well. i'm also getting a lot of calla lilies and stephontis (along with other flowers).
FLOWER MICHELE!!!!! he's the best! lol

Seems alot. I mean, I didn't get centerpieces but I think most places tend to charge $75-$100 per low centerpiece. I got about the same amount of flowers as you (just bouquets, bouts, corsages and rose petals) and I'm paying 1k.
