Fh and I are paying for the entire wedding ourselves. My Mom is giving us money for the honeymoon, but technically it's not for the actual venue.
His parents are paying for our rehearsal dinner and will give us a gift.
For those of you who paid or are paying for the wedding yourselves, are you putting both of your parent's names on the invitations out of respect or leaving their names off completely? If you left them off completely were either side offended?
Personally, I don't think either parent's names should go on our invites since we are paying for our wedding ourselves 100%

I think it depends... its your wedding and you wont and cant make everyone happy. do whatever makes you happy. We are mainly paying for the wedding. my parents are paying for my shower, dress, DJ and whatever else they can. You have to also remember parents paid for their child wedding back in the day but weddings were nothing like they were now. So in this day in age to expect my parents to soooo much $$ for a wedding id feel too guilt. but i am proud we are doing this mainly ourselves. I want them mentioned in the invite most likely but ican see why some wouldnt. depends how you feel and of course on how close you are with them.

We are getting some help towards the wedding, but FH and I are paying a major chunk ourselves and we did
Bride and Groom Together with their parents
... I think thats how we worded it, its something like that lol

We weren't going to do anything, but I just got a wedding invitation that said 'bride & groom and parents'...we may do that

My mom is paying for my dress/shower, and FH's dad is paying for the RD. Other than that, we are doing it all.
Ours says:
Bride's Name
&
Groom's name
Together with our families
...........
I like that idea! We're paying for 90% of it. His parents paid for Pre-Cana, mine are paying for my gown, and we're having our wedding party take care of their dresses and tuxes. So putting something to the effect of 'together with our families' is appropriate.
