Don't worry. My E-party was last weekend. A majority of the gifts came off the registry the day before the party. I am sure you will get everything you want ![]()

I fear thiss too. I have things that are soooo expensive that i wonder...who is going to buy this!!!

i feel the same way too.... but you will probably get duplicates so you could always return things to get the more expensive things that you want! cheer up! i am sure it will all work out for you!

I'm kind of finding this too, but that's ok. Your registry is there for people to choose things from and they're going to buy whatever they feel is in their price range. The good thing about registering is that you can get a discount after your wedding and buy them yourself if you really need it. I really NEED a new vacum and noone has bought it yet. I may either return some of the smaller stuff or buy it myself. Our fine stemware hasn't been bought yet, and we'll probably buy it slowly over the next year. Don't worry, there's still time for people to buy stuff and many people really do wait until the last minute.

yup, that happened to me.
But, after returning duplicates as well as things I just don't want anymore, I have $650 in store credit.
AND, people will also give you CASH!!! I made approx $500 in cash gifts.
So, I will use my completion discount and be able to get approx $1500 worth of merchandise...

(And, my mom later told me that she, my cousin, and two aunts waited until the NIGHT BEFORE my shower to go shopping)

don't worry - perople don't necessarily shop ahead of time....and if you have fmaily like ours, they buy from the registry but don't actually tell anyone when they get to the register!! sometimes registries also don't always deduct the gift in a timely manner!!

As a regular wedding guest, I always end up buying my gifts the day before or even the morning of the event!

I always wait until the last minute to buy my gifts. Maybe you should stop checking your registry, since it is making you sad. Don't worry you will get great stuff. Cheer up!!!![]()

i know some people buy things the day of so it might be bought then... also some people may have bought those things and just not remembered to have them taken off the registry.... plus you can always exchange stuff to get the things you need![]()

I've had some people buy us engagement gifts that were things listed on our Fortunoff registry, but they got them at another store (BB&B using the 20% coupon). So, once I got them, I took them off the registry myself!

I'm so glad to have found this post. I'm sure my shower is this weekend, so I peeked and almost nothing is gone yet.
I got nervous that my MOH maybe forgot to tell people where we registered or no one is coming, but now that I read this, I feel a little better.

A lot of my stuff went only a few days before my shower...PLUS don't forget that some people may not have told the checkout person that it was for a registry!

Don't worry about it -- most of the stuff came off my registry the day of my shower too. And you will get doubles of things so can always return and get something else. And, alot of people give cash and gift cards which you can combine to get the expensive stuff!

On the day of my engagement party my cousin saw 4 other people in Fortunoffs buying me a gift while she was there doing the same! Plus a bunch of people will give you gift certificates there too. Plus no registry is perfect, your bound to get a duplicate gift somewhere along the line.
